Remember ‘I’ is an illusion. If ‘I’ is an illusion all the ‘I’ based Gurus and their teaching is bound to be an illusion. If you are stuck with ‘I’ based teaching you are stuck up to ignorance.
The ‘I’ hides the Soul the Self.
People think the ‘I’ without the body is the Self. The seeker has to understand the fact that ‘I’ is not the Self, but the witness of the ‘I’ is the true Self, which is eternal.
That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~” If you desire liberation, but you still say "I," If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, You are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.
People are stuck with the reality of the ‘I’, which they take as real because some Gurus have propagated the Self is the ‘I’. is no need to convince such a mindset. The seeker of truth accepts only the truth nothing but the truth.
That is why Sage Sankara says: - VC-65_ As a treasure hidden underground requires (for its extraction) competent instruction, excavation, the removal of stones and other such things lying above it and (finally) grasping, but never come out by being (merely) called out by name, so the transparent Truth of the Self, which is hidden by Maya and its effects, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, followed by reflection, meditation and so forth, but not through perverted arguments.
People refuse to accept anything other than their Gurus words. For them, their Gurus words are the ultimate truth. They do not accept anything else other than their accepted truth. There is no need to convince such a mindset.
Such a mindset is not fit to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. The seekers of truth accept only the truth nothing but the uncontradictable truth.
Bhagavad Gita: ~ “You must first see the ‘I’ as illusory before you see others as illusory. ~ CH.2 v.16
All those whose intelligence has been stolen by ignorance, they are stuck up to the ‘I’ based teachings.
That is why Bhagavad Gita says: ~ “ Among thousands of men, scarcely one strives for perfection; and of those who strive and succeed, scarcely one knows the ‘Self’ in truth.
Humanity has to awaken to the reality of its true existence by realizing the world in which humanity exists is merely an illusion created out of the consciousness through Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana frees the Soul, the innermost Self from the cage of the dualistic illusion.
Sage Sankara says: ~ VC-162- There is no liberation for a person of mere book knowledge, howsoever well-read in the philosophy of Vedanta, so long as one does not give up the false identification with the body, sense organs, etc., which are unreal.
From the standpoint, of the Soul, the Self, the ‘I’ is a dualistic illusion.
If the ‘I’ is the dualistic illusion then the form, time, and space are illusions.
If form, time, and space are an illusion then the universe is an illusion.
If the universe is an illusion, then the three states are an illusion.
If the three states are an illusion then the experience of birth, life, death, and the world is an illusion.
If the experience of birth, life, death, and the world is an illusion then the individualized God, heaven, hell, sin, and karma are part of that illusion.
Therefore, it is necessary to realize ‘what is an illusion and ‘what is a reality to get freedom from falsehood.
By inquiring WHO AM I? it unfolds the fallacy of the form thus only half the truth is revealed. The ignorant who fail to apprehend the ‘Self' is caught in the web of illusion experience, the birth, life, death, and world as reality. The people who think the ‘I’ or ‘I AM’ as the 'Self' are caught up in the web of duality experiences the form, time, and space as a reality.
Ashtavakra Samhita: ~ "The man of knowledge (Gnani), though living like an ordinary man, is contrary to him and only those like him understand his state.
A Gnani can point at the sky, but the seeing of the star is the seeker's own work.
The truth-seeker seeks only truth. The inner Sage will guide you with love. Your sincerity and seriousness lead you to your inner core. Sincere and serious seekers are not excluded.
All the chosen ones will get freedom from experiencing the illusion (duality) as a reality. All the seekers of truth are chosen ones.

Katha Upanishads: ~ This Atman is attained by him alone whom It chooses. To such a one Atman reveals its own form. (II -23-P-20)
All the chosen ones will get freedom from experiencing the illusion (duality) as a reality. All the seekers of truth are chosen ones.
Sage Sankara: ~ "Though I wear these robes of a Sanyasin, it is only for the sake of bread." (Select Works of Sage Sri, Sankara" also his commentary on Brihad)
Thus, the above passage proves that all those who were the sanyasin robes are wearing it for the sake of bread belongs to the religion; they are nothing to do with the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. There is no need to criticize and condemn the Gurus, yogis, and swamis because they are needed for the welfare of ignorant masses in the dualistic world.
Sage Sankara says the transparent Truth of the Self, which is hidden by the illusion, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, (Gnani).
~ Then why you are sticking a Guru who is not a Gnani and their ‘I’ based teaching, which is not Advaitic Gnana. :~Santthosh Kumaar
