One must know what God supposed to be in truth. There is a difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.+

One must know what God is supposed to be in truth. There is a difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.
Vedas say God is Supreme Spirit has not the idol or the material shape because God is the ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence. God cannot be seen directly by anyone.  God pervades all beings and all directions.

The idolatry does not find any support from the Vedas.  All idolatry Gods are based on Puranic concepts.

There is no scope for belief-based God because the belief is not God.  Religion and its ideas of Gods are based on the false self (ego), within the false experience (waking). Thus, whatever beliefs are based on the false Self is bound to be a falsehood.

God is not physical. God is present in the form of the Spirit. The Spirit is the cause of the world and the Spirit itself is uncaused.

From the standpoint of the Spirit, the form, time, space, and name are merely an illusion. The spirit alone is real and all else is an illusion.  In reality,  the spirit (God) matter (the universe in which we exist) are one in essence.
Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness (Spirit), which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).
When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness (Spirit) which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

Lord Krishna Says Ch ~V: ~Those who know the Self in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. The God in truth is only Atman, the Self.   In reality,  there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists.

The Vedas confirm God is Atman (spirit), the Self.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman (Soul or Spirit) is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Rig-Veda 1-164-46 and Y.V 32-1 clearly mention that God is “One”.

Rig Veda declares God is ‘ONE’ and God is Atman, then why believe and worship in place of real God.

Brihad Upanishad: ~ “If you think there is another entity, whether man or God there is no truth."

When Upanishad itself declares: ~   Sarvam khalvidam brahma ~ all this (universe) is verily Brahman. By following back all of the relative appearances in the world, we eventually return to that from which it is all manifest – the non-dual reality (Chandogya Upanishad).

Sage Sankara’s Supreme Brahman (God) is impersonal, Nirguna (without Gunas or attributes), Nirakara (formless), Nirvisesha (without special characteristics), immutable, eternal, and Akarta (non-agent). It is above all needs and desires. It is always the Witnessing Subject. It can never become an object as it is beyond the reach of the senses. Brahman is non-dual, one without a second. It has no other beside it. It is destitute of difference, either external or internal. Brahman cannot be described because the description implies a distinction. Brahman cannot be distinguished from any other than It. In Brahman, there is not a distinction between substance and attribute. Sat-Chit-Ananda constitutes the very essence or Svarupa of Brahman, and not just Its attributes. The Nirguna Brahman of Sage Sankara is impersonal.

Sage Sankara: ~"That which permeates all, which nothing transcends and which, like the universal space around us, fills everything completely from within and without, that Supreme non-dual Brahman  (God)."

Thus, truth realization is self-realization. Self-realization is God-realization.  God-realization itself is real worship.

Ishopanishad says: ~ “They are steeped in ignorance and sunk into the greatest depth of misery who worships the matter, instead of the All-Pervading God and those who worship things born of matter like trees, animals, man, etc. are sunk deeper in misery."

Yajurveda says:~

Translation 1.

They enter darkness, those who worship natural things (for example air, water, sun, moon, animals, fire, stone, etc).

They sink deeper in darkness those who worship sambhuti. (Sambhuti means created things, for example,  table, chair, idol, etc.) (Yajurveda 40:9)

Translation 2.

"Deep into the shade of blinding gloom fall asambhuti's worshippers. They sink to darkness deeper yet who on Sambhuti are intent." (Yajurveda Samhita by Ralph T. H. Giffith pg 538)

Translation 3.

"They are enveloped in darkness, in other words, are steeped in ignorance and sunk in the greatest depths of misery who worship the uncreated, eternal Prakriti -- the material cause of the world -- in place of the All-pervading God, But those who worship visible things born of the Prakriti, such as the earth, trees, bodies (human and the like) in place of God are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time." (Yajur Veda 40:9.)

So, Yajur Veda indicates that:~

They sink deeper in darkness those who worship Sambhuti. (Sambhuti means created things, for example,  table, chair, idol, etc.  (Yajur Veda 40:9)

Those who worship visible things born of the Prakriti, such as the earth, trees, bodies (human and the like) in place of God are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time." (Yajur Veda 40:9.)

When the religion of the Veda knows no idols then why so many Gods and Goddesses with different forms and names are being propagated as Vedic Gods. Why these conceptual Gods are introduced when the Vedic concept of God is free from form and attributes. God lies beyond the dualistic illusion because it is prior to the dualistic illusion or Maya. :~Santthosh Kumaar

During Vedic age women were given utmost position. Vedas says Gods reside where women are held in high esteem.+

It is ridiculous when women are successful in every field; the religious orthodox are barring women under some pretext or the other from learning Vedas is orthodox hypocrisy. Accordingly, during the Vedic age, women were given the utmost position. Vedas says Gods reside where women are held in high esteem.

Vedas unequivocally proclaim equal rights for all people regardless of caste, gender, or geography. While the west could give voting rights to women only in the early 20th century, Vedas talk of women being the path makers and decision-makers in society since the dawn of civilization
Accordingly,  during the Vedic age, women were given the utmost position. We see the names of Ghosha, Apaala, Lopamudra, and Ruchi-Indraani being cited as Rishikas similar to the names of Rishis like Vasistha, Vishwamitra, and Vamadeva, etc. They had realized the truth contained in many Veda mantras.

Even they had full powers to administer various Vedic rituals called karmakand. It is clear from the Vedic authority Stree hee brahma babhuvita that women were partaking in the Yagnas. They conducted the yagnas seated as Brahma. They also had access to learning the warfare and had the freedom to partake therein. They bequeathed the qualities of courage and heroism to their children also. A heroic mother proudly announces in Veda thus Mama Putro Shatruhane mamaduhita virat meaning that my son is a vanquisher of enemies and my daughter is honorable.

The tradition continued in the Upanishadic era also. There were many spiritually endowed women called Brahmavaadins like Gargi, Maitreyee, etc. They were master debaters and even reputed Rishis were hesitant to engage them in debates. Gargi’s intellectual combat with Rishi Yagnavalkya is quite well-known.

However,  it must be said that the position of women detracted during the middle ages. Her prestige suffered during the Puranic age. In Sanskrit literature, she was treated as an object of enjoyment.

Orthodoxy described characterized women as the way to hell and untrustworthy. The dualist sages called women as anuchari and not as sahachari. The men who led the Bhakti movement also disregarded women.

Women Saints and Sages

Women saints and sages of India have been given less importance, for several reasons obvious to anyone studying history...

In the medieval period, women were confined to homes and according to some moral codes, women were not allowed to study scriptures and chant mantras while mantras were invoked as female deities or Goddesses.

The Vedic rishis had wives who were learned women and took part in philosophical discussions. The crippling social practices for women, considering them as inferior, unfit for scriptural studies were introduced by male-dominated societies...While women monastics or nuns were introduced in Buddhism; it was not a common practice to have nuns in Hindu monastic orders until recent times.

Sage  Sankara says ~ that even women can realize the truth if they persist. (Mand.P.351 also in Vivekachoodamani)

Thus,  it proves that Sage Sankara wanted even women to acquire Advaitic wisdom, whereas the orthodox Advaitins Bars women to indulge in the path of wisdom even in these modern days.  T. the orthodoxy is based on the experience of birth, life, death, and the world as a reality whereas the ultimate truth is based on the formless Soul, the innermost Self.   Thus, Advaitic wisdom is for the whole universe irrespective of any gender, race, creed, or religion.

Sage Sankara has philosophical disputes and debates with an equally great scholar, Mandana Mishra.  Mishra's learned wife Bharathi served as the umpire.

However, the credit for uplifting women and restoring their rights should go to liberals like Maharishi Dayananda the founder of the movement called Arya Samaj to work incessantly for their all-around welfare. He called women as the most honorable.  And criticizing those who prevented women from learning Vedas

Maharishi Dayananda quoted: ~ Yajurveda mantra ~Yathemam Vacham kalyani mavadhani janebhyah: Brahmararjaanaabhyam shudrayacharyaa cha swaya chaaranaya|| ladies and even persons lower than Shudras. Here Shudras mean ignorant people. Condemning certain verses whose authority was doubtful like Stree-shudro Na deeyataam, he countered them with the Vedic mantra Bramhacharyena kanya yuvaanaam vindate patim which enabled women to go for marriage after observing Brahmacharya and after studying the true Shastras like Vedas, etc.

He also quoted amply from other sources that sanction women the authority to learn Vedas. Recalling those days, he said women like Gargi were total scholars. Citing another incident, he pointed out how a queen like Kaikeyee could assist her husband in a war unless she had training in martial arts. His assertions in favor of women learning Vedas had the desired effect and the opposition to women from learning Vedas has waned but not totally eliminated. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Sage Sankara said: ~ Worship as many Gods as you please, and sing devotional hymns, but the liberation will never come without realizing the Oneness.+

Sage Sankara said: ~ Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many Gods as you please, observe ceremonies, and sing devotional hymns, but the liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.

Philosophy does not begin with the ultimate truth. The ultimate truth has to be proved, not assumed. Hence, so-called philosophers who take Brahman for granted are not philosophers at all.

Most of the Advaitin scholars will teach that all is yourself but none of them can show that this is so, none has analyzed it scientifically, and none can prove it. Rational proof is required so that one arrives at knowing the ultimate truth or Brahman i.e. Gnana. Theirs is mere dogma, parrotism, a repetition of what they read in scripture. Authoritarianism merely assumes as true what another says, but what has yet to be proved.

Sage Sankara’s whole teaching can be summed up in one sentence, ‘There is nothing else but Brahman. He says that Absolute Existence, Absolute Knowledge, and Absolute Bliss are real. The universe is not real. He says that Brahma and Atman are one.

The ultimate and the Absolute Truth is the Soul, the Self, which is one though appearing as many different individuals. The individual has no reality. Only the Self is real; the rest, mental and physical. You and your experience of the world are within the dualistic illusion.

Thus, what is the use of saying wake up when the ‘Self’ is not ‘You’?  The world in which you exist is the product of ignorance. Without getting rid of ignorance, the Advaitic wisdom will not dawn. Without the Advaitic wisdom, the world in which you exist prevails as a reality.

Just by saying go back to your essence being now, the freedom will not come.    Realize ‘Self’ is not you. The ‘Self is not within the domain of form, time, and space.  Till you hold the ‘Self’ as you’, you will never be able to understand, assimilate and realize the truth beyond the form, time,  and space.

Self-knowledge of Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is not the imagination of ornamental words.

Self-knowledge of Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana leads to Self-awareness. In Self-awareness, the Soul, the innermost self,  remains in its own awareness in the midst of the form, time,  and space.

The ‘Self’ is not hidden within the human form because the ‘’Self ‘pervades everything and everywhere in all three states.

The one who propagates the ‘Self’ is within the human form is a religious Guru or a yogi,  not a Gnani.   A Gnani has realized the world in which he exists is nothing but consciousness and there is no second thing that exists other than consciousness.

Remember: ~

The truth-seeker has to reject the devotional path if he wants to realize the truth beyond form, time, and space. The path of Bhakti is for the ignorant populace.
The Vedas talk about Brahman which refers to the ultimate truth or ultimate reality. The consciousness is the ultimate truth, therefore, the consciousness is Brahman and Brahman is God.
Vedas do not permit idol worship. All the idols are of the Puranic Gods priests are referring to the Puranic Brahma as God they are ignorant of the God in Vedas even though they speak of Vedas.
Priests do not understand the meaning of the Brahman, which is present in the form of consciousness.
Bhagavad Gita: ~ ‘All those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires, they worship many God s. (7- Verse -20)
Only the path of wisdom leads the seeker of truth on his journey to the ultimate realization of the true nature of the Universal Essence, which is the Soul. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.
Bhagavad Gita: 7: 19:~ "Such a man who has attained true knowledge, the knowledge of Self, the knowledge of Atman, worships ‘Self’ as~ Atman (God) alone exists~ everything is Atman, there exists nothing except Atman. Such a man is extremely rare"
The Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).
When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.
Lord Krishna Says Ch ~V: ~ Those who know the ‘Self’  in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.
The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. The God in truth is only Atman, the innermost Self. In reality, there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists.
The Vedas confirm God is Atman (Spirit), the Self.
In Yajurveda – chapter- 32:~ It has been said that God Supreme or Supreme Spirit has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. God cannot be seen directly by anyone. God pervades all beings and all directions. Thus, Idolatry does not find any support from the Vedas.
Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God) is present in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.
People, who worship the belief of God, are hallucinating that they become one with such God.
Vedas itself declares: May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman? Thus, to know the real God Self-realization is necessary. Self-realization is God-realization. Self-realization itself is real worship.
Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)
How can you worship God? That implies two ~ the worshipper and the worshiped, whereas God is nondual. One can worship his idea of God only or realize his unity with it when he can’t worship it as apart.
When Upanishads and Vedas declare that, “God is in the form of the Athma, and God is indeed Athma itself” then why accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Everything is consciousness, Consciousness is God in truth.+

Sage Goudpada: ~ To establish the truth of Non-duality by sheer reasoning alone. He begins by defining "What is real?" "What is unreal?" etc, because that is the right way to understand and assimilate. People must first know what they are talking about. (Manduka Karika)

The seeker of truth should not become attached to words as being in perfect conformity with meaning because Truth is not in the letters.

The words and their discrimination bind one to the duality; meaning stands alone and is a guide to non-dual awareness. Meaning is attained by much learning, and much learning is attained by becoming conversant with meaning and not with words; therefore, seekers of truth have to avoid the sticklers for particular words.

You are being conditioned by the religious myth which has made you a non-thinker. Come out of the religious myth by realizing God in truth.

Rig Veda: ~ 'Prajnanam Brahma': - Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.

Rig Veda: ~ 'Prajnanam Brahma'- Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.

God in truth is the Atman, the Self. Atman is present in the form of consciousness. Do not accept any other God other than Atman not worship other than Atman. Let these words be inscribed in your subconscious.

When the inner conviction arises that the Self is not ‘I’ but the Self is the ‘I-less Soul then whatever based on the ‘I’ is merely an illusion. The illusion (duality) is created out of single stuff.   That single stuff is the Soul that is present in the form of consciousness.
Till you realize you and your world are made of the same stuff, and that stuff is the Soul which is present in the form of the consciousness, the Soul the  Self,  remains in the web of the form, time, and space.

When the Soul wakes up in its own awareness, the illusory form, time and space, become one with the nature of the Soul. In Self-awareness, there is, nor you, nor me, nor others, nor the world, because there is unity in diversity. That is a oneness in the midst of duality.

Thus, you have to realize the fact that, the whole universe in which you exist is made of the single stuff is very much necessary to realize the Advaitic truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

All my blogs and postings are the verified truth. As one goes on reading, all his doubts and confusion will start clearing. It takes time to be receptive to Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana because it is the Soulcentric knowledge whereas all accumulated knowledge is egocentric.

I am highlighting all the obstacles in the inner journey and how to overcome these obstacles. All accumulated knowledge is of no use in the path of wisdom.

I am not trying to prove my views, but it is for every seeker, who is in the path of wisdom to realize himself “What is the truth, “and “What is untruth?” to assimilate the Self –Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

We contemplate that reality in which everything exists, to which everything belongs, from which everything has emerged, which is the cause of everything is and which is everything.

Jesus said:~"Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all." (Gospel of Thomas 2)

Jesus said: ~” Know what is in front of your face, and what is hidden from you will be disclosed to you. (THE GOSPEL OF THOMAS- Saying 5)

Consciousness is the root element of the universe. From consciousness, the universe comes into existence. In consciousness, the universe resides. And into consciousness, the universe is dissolved.   Consciousness is the parent of all that is there is.

The Soul which is present in the form of consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman  God in truth. Thus,  everything is God nothing but God. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Without knowing ‘What is this ‘I’, one will not realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time and the space.+

The samsara (the universe in which you exist) itself is an illusion.  You are not the Self. You are part and parcel of the illusion.  The Soul is the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.

The Soul is the witness of the illusion (the universe in which you exist.  The universe appears as the waking or the dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (nonduality).  From the standpoint of the Soul, the three states are one,  in essence.

Man is blind because he is part of the dualistic illusion. None can see the Soul, the innermost Self in the dualistic illusion. Very few will able to grasp the truth beyond the form, time and space, the rest are immersed in the illusory experience of the birth, life, death and the world.

It is impossible to judge the truth, which is beyond the form, time,  and space, on the base of the birth entity, because the birth entity is not the Self. The Self is the Soul, which is birthless and deathless because it is ever formless, timeless and spaceless.

If one wants to realize the truth beyond the form, time, and space, then he has to learn to view, judge and reason on the base of the formless Soul, the innermost Self.

By inquiring “WHO AM I? “and“ WHY DO I EXIST? , the wisdom will not dawn because the ‘I’ is not an individual. The ‘I’ is the mind. The mind is the whole universe in which you exist.  The universe appears as waking or the dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (nonduality).
People hold the ‘I’ without the body as the Self, but it is an error because the Self is not the ‘I’ but the Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness. From the standpoint of the Soul, the Self, the ‘I’ is merely an illusion.

If the ‘I’ is an illusion, then the universe in which you exist is merely an illusion.  The consciousness which is the cause of the universe is real and eternal. The consciousness is the cause of the illusion and it itself is uncaused.

Remember:~

By inquiring WHO AM ‘I’? or by saying ‘I AM THAT, without knowing ‘What is this ‘I’, one will not realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time and space.  The ‘I’ exists only when the form, time and space are present.

When the Self is not the ‘I’ but the ‘Self is ‘I –less Soul, then whatever based on the ‘I’, is bound to be an illusion. Thus, the ‘I-less Soul is permeant and eternal because the Soul is the ever formless, timeless and spaceless existence.

You and your world are a reality within the illusion. You and your experience of the world are within the illusion. You are the false self within the false experience (waking).  The waking experience is a parallel dream and the dream is a parallel waking experience.

The Self is neither the waking entity nor the Self is the dream entity, but the Self is the Soul, which witnesses the coming and going of the three states. The Soul, the innermost Self, is nothing to do with you and your experience of the world because it is the ever formless, timeless and spaceless existence.

The world in which you exist is merely an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

A person, who stamped his foot on the ground to refute to show the world, is real, ignore that in the dream he would do exactly the same--stamp his dream foot on the ground and assert it to be real.

The Ultimate Reality is one without a second and designates it by the name Brahman. Brahman is incorporeal, immutable, all-pervading consciousness, beyond the form, time, and space.

Remember:~

Freedom means freedom from ignorance. It is not you who is seeking freedom. It is the Soul, the Self which seeks freedom from ignorance.
Shun the ignorance which is present in the form ‘I’ and thinks the ignorance is like poison.
Turn your attention to the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness. The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God. Free the Soul, the Self from the illusory prison of the form, time and space.
When you realize the ‘Self is not you but the ‘Self’ is the Soul automatically the world in which you exist losses its luster of the reality.
Remember: you are the false self within the dualistic illusion, which is present in the form of the ‘I’. without the ‘I’ you, and the world in which you exist ceases to exist. So do not limit the ‘I’ to an individual because ‘Self is not ‘I’ because the ‘I’ is whole dualistic illusion.
If you are not the ‘Self’ but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, then how can you say ‘I AM THAT’ when the Self is not you but the Soul. Perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ leads to Self-realization.
Holding ‘I-centric’ gurus and their teaching as final blocks Self-realization.
If you are the seeker of truth, then you must accept only the truth, not the ‘I-centric or you-centric knowledge, which is half-baked knowledge. The ‘I-centric or ‘you-centric’ it is not Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
The ‘I’ hides the reality of existence. The nature of existence is the formless, timeless and spaceless existence. There is no ‘I’ in reality. The ‘I’ is merely an illusion. Whatever belongs to the ‘I’ is an illusion.
The ‘I’ is merely an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. ‘I’ is not the subject. The ‘I’ is an object to the Soul, which is the formless, timeless and spaceless subject.
Bhagavad Gita: ~ “You must first see the ‘I’ as illusory before you see others as illusory. ~ CH.2 v.16
If the ‘I’ is an illusion, then the world in which you exist is bound to be an illusion.
If the ‘I’ is an illusion then three states, are bound to be an illusion.
If the ‘I’ is an illusion then the form, time, and space are bound to be an illusion.
If I’ is an illusion then the individual experience of the birth, life, death is bound to be an illusion.
If the ‘I’ is an illusion, then the words and thoughts are bound to be an illusion.
If the ‘I’ is an illusion, then the duality is bound to be an illusion.
The seeker has to make sure what is this ‘I’ supposed to be? The seeker has to make sure the unreal nature of the ‘I’ which comes and goes in order to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.
That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)
The ‘I’ hides the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness. The ‘I’ itself is ignorance. The ‘I’ itself is the dualistic illusion.
People think the ‘I’ without the body is the Self. The seeker has to understand the fact that ‘I’ is not the Self, but the witness of the ‘I’ is the true Self, which is eternal.
That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10: ~ If you desire liberation, but you still say "I," if you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.
People are stuck with the reality of the ‘I’, which they take it as real because some Gurus have propagated the Self is the ‘I’. is no need to convince such a mindset. The seeker of truth accepts only the truth nothing but the truth.
That is why Sage Sankara says:~ VC-65. As a treasure hidden underground requires (for its extraction) competent instruction, excavation, the removal of stones and other such things lying above it and (finally) grasping, but never comes out by being (merely) called out by name, so the transparent Truth of the Self, which is hidden by Maya and its effects, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, followed by reflection, meditation and so forth, but not through perverted arguments.
People refuse to accept anything other than their Guru's words. For them, their Guru's words are the ultimate truth. They do not accept anything else other than their accepted truth. There is no need to convince such a mindset.
Such a mindset is not fit to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. The seekers of truth accept only the truth nothing but the uncontradictable truth.
The Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara has dynamic, direct, universal appeal.: ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Consciousness is the root element of the universe.+

Without knowing and examining the external world, one can’t know the Truth, as the idea that the external world exists, won't go. It can go only by an inquiry into the nature of the external world.

Rig Veda:~ Who knows here, who can here state whence came this entire multifarious Universe? Even the Devas are posterior to its creation, who then knows whence this came out? Rig Veda VIII-17-6.

Nothing is real but God. Nothing Matters but love for God in truth. God in truth is everywhere and in everything.

God in truth is hidden by the illusory universe. God in truth alone is and all else is an illusion.

The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness alone, exists.  Consciousness appears as the universe which we cognize just as a rope appears as a serpent.  The consciousness puts on the appearance of this universe in which we exist.

Consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. Consciousness is the substance and witness of the universe which appears as the waking or dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (nonduality).

Consciousness is without cause and without effect, without anything inside or outside, without defect or impurity, without length or breadth, without color, shape, or form.

Consciousness is without limbs, parts, name, or caste, without hands and legs. Consciousness is an embodiment of wisdom, peace, and awareness.  Consciousness shines by itself because it is Self-luminous.

The universes in which you exist really exist in the Soul, the innermost Self. The universe comes into existence because of the Self-effulgent Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The whole universe exists within the Soul.  The universe appears as external because of ignorance.

How can one describe the glory and greatness of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness? Consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman

Even the Vedas have sung in praise of the Brahman according to their limited capacity. No one has been able to find out its beginning or end.

The Soul walks without feet, grasps without hands, hears without ears, sees without eyes, tastes without a tongue, smells without a nose, feels without a skin, talks without a mouth, because, the Soul a mass of pure consciousness. All hands, feet, eyes, heads, faces, and the whole world are made from consciousness.

Consciousness is all-pervading.  Consciousness is beyond the reach of mind and speech because it exists prior to form, time, and space. One cannot see the Soul with these physical eyes, but he can realize the Soul by getting rid of the ignorance through Advaitic wisdom.

Consciousness is destitute of any other characteristics. Consciousness is entire without any sort of difference.

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad IV-13:~ As a mass of salt has neither inside nor outside, but is entirely a mass of taste, thus indeed, has that Self neither inside nor outside but is altogether a mass of Knowledge. Just as a lump of salt has inside as well as outside one and the same saltish taste, not any other taste, so also that Brahman has inside as well as outside one and the same intelligence. Inside and outside are mental creations only. When the mind melts in silence, ideas of inside and outside vanish. The sage cognizes one illimitable, homogeneous mass of consciousness only.

The Soul, is present in the form of consciousness, is all-pervading and unattached. So it is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.
Srutis emphatically declare ~  Akasavat Sarvagata Nitya i.e., like ether all-pervading and eternal. If the pot is broken the pot-ether is not in any way affected. So it is unattached (Asanga).

The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is Immortal.  The nature of the Soul is objectless consciousness.

The Soul is different from the knowable.  The Soul is beyond the unknowable also.  The Soul is incomprehensible. This does not mean that the Soul is a non-entity or void or a negative concept, or a metaphysical abstraction.  The Soul is a mass of knowledge or awareness.

The consciousness is denser than the stone or platinum or gold.  The consciousness is the only real entity, the substratum for everything that exists within the dualistic illusion.

Consciousness is the root element of the universe. From the consciousness,  the universe comes into existence. In consciousness, the universe resides. And into consciousness, the universe is dissolved.   Consciousness is the parent of all that is there.

The worries are of the dualistic illusion. The man and his world are within the waking experience. The waking experience is the dualistic illusion. The waking experience ceases to exist in deep sleep, where the waking experience has disappeared in deep sleep.

Remember:~

The one that appears as waking or the dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep, is not the ‘Self’. The ‘Self ‘is the Soul, which witnesses the coming and going of the three states.  The three states appear to be real, but their unreal nature is exposed if one realizes the Soul, the Self.

The worries do not belong to the Soul, the Self.  The Soul is the ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence, whereas you and your worries and your experience of the world are present only in the domain of the dualistic illusion. Thus, Self-knowledge is necessary to realize the truth beyond the dualistic illusion.

It is necessary to reflect on the same truth again and again till it becomes a reality. One needs to constantly, reflect on the subject until he gets a firm conviction of what is what. Words are needed until one gets a firm conviction of ‘what is what’. People need to read and hear the words of wisdom to think deeply and reach the ultimate end.
“It takes time for the seeker to gain the perfect understanding of ‘what is the truth’ and ‘’what is untruth’. It takes time for the Soul, the Self to wake up from the sleep of ignorance, and it takes time for one realizes the truth, which is beyond the form, time,  and space.
The Soul has to wake up from the sleep of ignorance, and then only it is possible to realize the form, time and space are one,  in essence.  That essence is the Soul or consciousness. If the form time and space are one,  in essence, then there is no division in consciousness. If there is no division in consciousness, then there is no duality, if there is no duality then there is unity in diversity.

Ignorance is the cause of experiencing the duality as reality. Realizing Soul as the Self leads to Advaitic Self-awareness.   The Soul, the  Self is Absolute Knowledge, which cannot be negated.  The nature of the Soul is   Advaitic awareness.:~Santthosh Kumaar
