Ashtavakra Gita: ~ “The universe rises from the Soul, the innermost Self like bubbles from the sea. Thus know the ‘Self’ to be One and in this way enter into the state of dissolution."

Sage Sankara said: ~A.A~ 88 - When the whole universe, movable and immovable, is known to be Atman (consciousness), and thus the existence of everything else is negated, where is then any room to say that the body is Atman?

The ‘Self’ is not the mind. The mind is present in the form of not the world in which we exist. The world appears as the waking or dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (nonduality). The ‘Self’ is the Soul.

The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. Consciousness pervades everything and everywhere in all three states. Thus, diversity is created out of single stuff. That stuff is consciousness.

Consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman because there is no second thing that exists other than consciousness. From the standpoint of the Soul, the form, time, and space are one, in essence.

In spirituality, God means the ultimate truth or Brahman. Self–realization is truth-realization. Truth- realization is God-realization.

Sage Sankara: ~VC~ if the universe be true, let it then be perceived in the state of deep sleep also. As it is not at all perceived, it must be unreal and false like dreams.

That is why Sankara's declaration: ~ “Brahman is the truth The World is Unreal everything is Truly Brahman and nothing else has any value.

In ignorance there is duality. In wisdom, there is the only nonduality. The Soul the ‘Self’ is one without the second.

The Soul is present in the form of consciousness (spirit). It is the same consciousness (Soul) manifests as the whole universe. Consciousness itself is the ultimate truth or Brahman. Consciousness is the ultimate cause of the universe and it itself is uncaused. The seeker of truth must convince himself of this truth by Soulcentric reasoning. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Do not try to know who you are? By inquiring ‘Who am ‘I’, you will never reach the ultimate end of understanding.+

‘Who am ‘I’? is only helpful in the beginning in later stages it is inadequate to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

When The ‘I’ appears along with the world in which you exist appears.

Try to find out what this ‘I’ is, which appears and disappears. What is it that knows this appearance and disappearance of the ‘I’?

There is nothing that exists prior to consciousness. The ‘I’ cease to exist without consciousness.

The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the ultimate truth or Brahman.

That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ “The permanent (consciousness) is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

Bhagavad Gita: ~ “You must first see the ‘I’ as illusory before you see others as illusory. ~ CH.2 v.16

The ‘I’ hides the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness.

The seeker has to realize ‘what is this ‘I’ supposed to be in actuality.

If the Self is not ‘I’ but the Self is the Soul then from the standpoint of the Soul, the  Self: ~

Where is the ‘I’?

Where is the ego?

Where is the body?

Where is the mind?

Where is the world in which you exist?

Where are the form, time, and space?

Where is the waking experience?

Where is the duality?

Where is void?

They are or have become one with the Soul which is present in the form of consciousness. The consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman.

The ‘I’ is present only when the mind is present. The mind is present only when the world is present. The world is present only when there is the waking experience.

A deeper self-search reveals the fact that the waking experience is not considered different from the world. The world is not considered different from the mind. The mind is not considered different from the’ I’. This truth has to be assimilated.

The ‘I’ is merely an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. ‘I’ is not the subject. The ‘I’ is an object to the Soul, which is the formless, timeless, and spaceless subject. : ~Santthosh Kumaar

Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom becomes very easy to grasp when one gains a soulcentric vision of the universe.

If your intention is to preach or teach Advaita then you will never be able to grasp the Advaitic truth. Advaitic wisdom is continually shared with humanity without any expectation and helps humanity to wake up to reality. The more you share more inner grace you gain.

Swami Vivekananda says as below. Advaita encompasses everything. Since Advaita requires heavy-duty intellectualism, it had to be progressively simplified. (From 'The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda)

People dwelling in ignorance, but thinking themselves wise and erudite, go round and round by various blind beliefs and tortuous paths and practices, like the blind led by the blind.

Swami Vivekananda said:~ "The Vedas teach that the Soul is divine, only held in the bondage of matter; perfection will be reached when this bond will burst, and the word they use for it is, therefore, Mukthi - freedom, freedom from the bonds of imperfection, freedom from death and misery."

The truth is very simple, but it is very difficult to grasp because of ignorance. You have to only realize the world in which you exist is created out of single clay. And that single clay is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Thus, you and your body and the world in which you exist are nothing but consciousness because they are merely an illusion created out of consciousness. A perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ is needed.

Ashtavakra Gita: ~ “Truly the dualism is the root of suffering. There is no other remedy for it than the realization that all this that we see is unreal and that the Soul, the innermost Self, is the one stainless reality, consisting of the consciousness”. 2:16

Remember:~

If one objectifies and sees a universe, then he is bound to see many things besides the Self and postulate a God, the creator. The world in which you exist rises and sets together from, and into, the Soul, the ‘Self’. If God is apart from the Soul, the Self, then God would be Self -less, that is, outside existence, that is, non-existent.

Chandogya Upanishad:~ One who meditates upon and realizes the Self discovers that everything in the cosmos-- energy and space, fire and water, name and form, birth and death, mind and will, word and deed, mantrams and meditation--all come from the Self.

The seeker must have the patience to open the blogs and posting and read. It will not only help you to clear all your cobweb of doubts and confusion.

Without reading the blogs trying to argue on your own yardstick, is not of any use. Whatever you have read, whatever you have heard and accumulated becomes a hindrance in realizing the truth, which is hidden by ignorance.

All your egocentric accumulated cocktail knowledge is not Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is soulcentric knowledge, which is not available in the spiritual supermarket.

All accumulated knowledge is mental Garbage is no use in the quest for truth. The seeker has to discard all the accumulated knowledge and start afresh.

A perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ through deeper thinking and reasoning helps to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Reading and reflecting on my blogs and postings gradually, the seekers will start assimilating and realizing ‘what is the truth’ and what the untruth is. Repeated reading of my blogs and postings makes the seeker, Soulcentric, and the inner dialogue will start and clear all the doubts and confusion.

When there are no doubts and confusion, then they have realized the truth that form, time, and space are one in essence. And that essence is consciousness. There is no use in wasting time in questioning and arguing same time and effort have to be used to make the seeker more independent and without external spoon-feeding, he can reach the inner core, which is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

In the Atmic path discussion of the unimportant subject matter is a great hindrance. The path of truth is the path of verification. Nothing has to be accepted as truth without verification. Agreeing to disagree causes unnecessary friction.

Advaitic Truth is very simple but it is very difficult to grasp because of ignorance. You have to only realize the world in which you exist is created out of single clay. And that single clay is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

A Gnani can point at the sky, but the seeing of the star is the seeker's own work.

It is necessary to reflect on the same truth again and again till it becomes reality. One needs to constantly reflect on the subject until he gets a firm conviction of what is what.

Words of wisdom are needed until one gets a firm conviction of ‘what is what’. People need to read and hear the words of wisdom to think, reason, reflect deeply, and reach the ultimate end of understanding. Religion, caste, and creed are creations of man to live in a certain way of life within the society in a certain order as prescribed in the scriptural doctrine in the illusory world.+

The injunctions and prohibitions of the orthodoxy have no application to those who are in the path of wisdom or Gnana. They apply only to those who look upon themselves as belonging to a certain caste or sector stage of life.

Religion, caste, and creed are creations of man to live in a certain way of life within the society in a certain order as prescribed in the scriptural doctrine in the illusory world.

Religions pertain only to the individual within the practical world, and not to the Soul, the Self. Religion is based on the dualistic perspective whereas Spirituality or Adyathma is based on the Soul, which is based on the nondualistic perspective.

Thus, religion is nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman, which is beyond form, time, and space.

The Soul which is present in the form of consciousness pervades all three states. The consciousness is the formless substance and the witness of the three states.

Remember:~

A Gnani is completely free from all human attributes by realizing the fact that, the Self not human has anything to gain from action or inaction, meditation or Japa, or rituals and yoga.

A person who meditates continuously attains identity with the object of meditation, but this identity ceases if the practice of meditation is given up. But the realization of the Self, once attained through knowledge, is never lost.

Sage Sankara says ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation

In reality, every living being including the world in which they exist is an illusion created out of consciousness but ignorance hides the fact. Self -Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana only reveals this truth.

Because of ignorance, which conceals the real nature of the Soul, the 'Self', people do not realize the purpose of life.

The Sages in past thought just as begging is better than starving, it is better to practice, love, devotion, and meditation for those who are immersed in practical life within the practical world because they are incapable of grasping and realizing the ultimate truth or Brahman. Thus, they prescribed karma Bhakti and yoga love to help the ignorant populace.

He who realizes Soul as the 'Self' liberated from the bonds of ignorance, he becomes free from experiencing the illusory form, time, and space as a reality.+

Just as rainwater falling on a mountain peak runs down the rocks in all directions, even so, is he dispersed who sees only the diversity and manyness of the world and does not grasp the Oneness of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The nature of the Soul is the fullness of consciousness.

As pure water poured into pure water becomes one with it, so also the one who knows ‘Self is not ‘I’ but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness become one with the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness along with the world in which he exists.

He who realizes Soul as the 'Self' liberated from the bonds of ignorance, he becomes free from experiencing the illusory form, time, and space as a reality.

A Gnani’s attention is fixed on the Soul. He is free of ignorance. He is in solitude in the midst of the dualistic illusion. His quest is over. He has reached the highest goal.

When the Soul is mentally separated from the illusion by realizing the illusion too is nothing but consciousness then there is no second thing that exists other than consciousness.

Chandogya Upanishad: ~ sarvam khalvidam brahma - all this (universe) is verily Brahman. By following back all of the relative appearances in the world, we eventually return to that from which it is all manifest – the non-dual reality.

Then it is no use going a roundabout way, trace the Brahman which is the formless substance, and witness of the universe, which is in the form of mind. By tracing the source of the mind or universe one will be able to realize the Brahman. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

"Who am I?”- inquiry has no dynamic, direct, universal appeal it is just a starter in the Atmic Path.

Self-inquiry is to realize ‘the Self is not you but the Self is the Soul hidden by the 'I'. It is erroneous to limit the ‘I’ is within the body. Thinking the ‘I’ is within the body and inquiring ‘Who Am ‘I’ will not help to unfold the mystery of the ‘I’.

The ‘I’ hides the reality of existence. The nature of existence is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence. There is no ‘I’ in reality. The ‘I’ is merely an illusion. Whatever belongs to the ‘I’ is merely an illusion.

If the ‘I’ is an illusion then the words and thoughts are bound to be an illusion.

If the ‘I’ is an illusion then the duality is bound to be an illusion.

The seeker has to make sure what is this ‘I’ supposed to be? The seeker has to make sure the unreal nature of the ‘I’ which comes and goes in order to realize the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.

That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

The ‘I’ hides the truth of the whole.

People think the ‘I’ without the body is the Self. The seeker has to understand the fact that ‘I’ is not the Self, but the witness of the ‘I’ is the true Self, which is eternal.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say "I," If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, You are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

People are stuck with the reality of the ‘I’, which they take 'I' as real because some Gurus have propagated the Self is the ‘I’. is no need to convince such mindsets. The seeker of truth accepts only the truth nothing but the truth.

That is why Sage Sankara says: - VC-65- As a treasure hidden underground requires (for its extraction) competent instruction, excavation, the removal of stones and other such things lying above it, and (finally) grasping, but never comes out by being (merely) called out by name, so the transparent Truth of the Self, which is hidden by Maya and its effects, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, followed by reflection, meditation and so forth, but not through perverted arguments.

People refuse to accept anything other than their Guru's words. For them, their Guru's words are the ultimate truth. They do not accept anything else other than their accepted truth. There is no need to convince such a mindset.

Such mindsets are not fit to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. The seekers of truth accept only the truth nothing but the uncontradictable truth.

That is why Sage Sankara says: ~ VC-63- Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the Self, how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman? — It would result merely in an effort of speech.

65.
