Advaitic wisdom cannot be attained by the study of the scriptures and intellectual understanding or by bookish knowledge.+

Q by N: ~ Santthosh Kumaar you say that the base of the soul is not a religious topic then why r u explaining it by Bhagwat Gita and bible verses. You are carrying lines from religious books and also saying that religions are harmful to u.
Santthosh Kummar: ~ My blogs and postings are only for the seekers who are seriously seeking the truth. Please do not misinterpret it. I never said religion is harmful but the Sages of truth declared that religion is meant for the ignorant populace.
Sage Sankara means Advaita and Advaita mean Sage Sankara. The Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara is not theology. Theological Advaita is not Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom.
According to Advaita Vedanta, the Veda addresses itself to two kinds of audiences:~
1, “The ordinary ones who desire the transitory heaven and other pleasures obtained as a result of ritual sacrifices”.
2, “The advanced seekers who seek to know the ultimate truth or Brahman.”
Thus, the Purva mimam. sa, with its emphasis on the karma kanda of the Vedas, is meant for the first audience, to help lead its followers along the way. However, the Vedanta, with its emphasis on the jnana kanda, is meant for those who wish to go beyond form, time, and space.
Thus, those who are seeking the truth have to discard the Theological Advaita without mercy in order to realize the Advaitic truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.
I quote Scriptural citation and also the citation of the Sages of truth only after verification of reality and proved the truth, to point out that the scriptures indicate the truth, which is the Atman, the Brahman, or God. I do not require any scriptures. It is only to help the seekers to drop what is not needed to realize the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.
Spirituality is not for religious-minded people. Spirituality is not suited for religious people. Religious people must tread their chosen path.
As per the scriptures, the three "Ashrams" or stages in life were originally intended for three grades of intelligence thus:~
Religion:- Low intellects had to do 'karmas' works, ritual actions, chanting of mantras and indulging in bhajans and prayers, etc.
Middle intellects:- Yoga: taking yellow robes, going to caves, ashrams, etc.
High intellects:- Wisdom who wanted the truth is concerned with no external rites no prayers or sanyasa but depend solely on the Soulcentric reasoning for their path.
Thus, the seeker has to choose his path according to his choice. Without an intense urge to know the truth and sharpness to grasp the truth, it is difficult to tread the path of wisdom never mix different paths with each other, and make cocktails because it leads to all sorts of doubts and confusion.
The seeker of truth should be aware of everything that is untrue: stick to the truth and he shall succeed, maybe slowly, but surely.
If one quotes them before having demonstrated the truth, then it is scholasticism.
You have to bifurcate spirituality from religion. There are only a few spiritual insights in the scriptures or books scattered here and there which are signposts that indicate the truth is beyond the realign, which is based on form, time, and space.
Scriptures are being added from time to time. This process will go on. There is the final authority among them? One contradicts the other: duality reigns supreme.
Sages of truth restrained themselves from parting the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana to the mass and only a selected few. It was hidden from the people who were not qualified and receptive to it. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana was not written down but was imparted orally to the chosen few. Thus, religion was given to the mass, and knowledge of the spirit is given to only selected a few.
Thus, we find traces of the knowledge of the spirit in the religious books in the form of parables.
Katha Upanishad says: ~ This Atman is attained by him alone whom It chooses. To such a one Atman reveals Its own form. ( II -23-P-20)
Sage Sankara said:~Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many Gods as you please, observe ceremonies and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.
Advaitic wisdom cannot be attained by the study of the scriptures and intellectual understanding or by bookish knowledge. Therefore, there is no use in studying the scriptures and other scriptures in order to acquire non-dual wisdom.
Scriptures mastery, the force of religious merit--none of these lead to the realization of that Ultimate Truth or Brahman. The ultimate truth is revealed in the clear understanding and realization of ‘what is the truth and ‘what is the untruth. When one realizes the untruth (universe) is created out of single stuff, Self-awareness rises in the midst of duality exposing the unreal nature of form, time, and space.
The ultimate truth has to be realized first then only it is possible to know what the scriptures are saying. I do not require any scriptures.
Self-knowledge cannot be attained by the study of the scriptures and intellectual understanding or by bookish knowledge. Therefore, there is no use in studying the scriptures and other scriptures in order to acquire non-dual wisdom. That is why Bhagavan Buddha rejected the scriptures, and even Sage Sankara indicated that the ultimate truth lies beyond religion, religious Gods, and scriptures.
Katha Upanishad says ~ Fools dwelling in darkness, but thinking themselves wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. (Ch~ II-5 P-14)
That is why Swami Vivekananda said: ~ “You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, and none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher, but your own Soul.”
Sage Sankara says ~ VC-162- There is no liberation for a person of mere book knowledge, howsoever well-read in the philosophy of Vedanta, so long as one does not give up the false identification with the body, sense organs, etc., which are unreal.
The Soul, the  'Self'' reveals ‘what is real’ and ‘what is unreal' when the seeker is receptive and ready. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

What is the use of doing Kriya yogas when ‘Self’ is not the body but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness?+

If one could find the truth by just sitting and breathing up and down, it would have been so easy to find the truth. By breathing up and down or by holding the breath the ignorance will not vanish.

What is the use of doing Kriya yogas when the ‘Self’ is not the body but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness?  the Soul does not breathe because it is the ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

All breath-based yogic techniques will not help you to get rid of ignorance. All yogic techniques are good only for keeping mental and physical health nothing more.

The novice seekers must understand that yoga is all right in its places and that it is good at the beginning of the pursuit of truth, but when yoga is made ends in itself and not means to acquire the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Yoga and meditation are not useless, they are useful to bring the restless ego under control.  Yoga and meditation are not final. By indulging in yoga and meditation it will lead not lead to the ultimate end of understanding. Yoga cannot remove ignorance. It is only a step. It removes obstructions.

Sage Sankara definitely says that yoga is not the means of liberation (page 132-133 of his commentary on Brihadaranyakopanishad).

Remember:~

Ashtavakra says:~ "This is your bondage, that you practice Samadhi or meditation.”

Remaining thoughtless in the waking experience is yogic Samadhi. Yogic Samadhi is not the Advaitic wisdom

Brih Upanishad: page 32. "Yoga does not yield truth or liberation."

One who is in Samadhi will not know that this universe as the consciousness; therefore yoga is not the means to Self- knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

In Samadhi the yogi knows nothing and sees no universe; so if there is nothing but blankness. The blankness is not the Advaitic wisdom.

The yogi does not know the nature of the universe. If the universe is not seen in the Samadhi then there is no need to use the word Atman and Brahman.  The yogi is unaware of the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.

By shutting his eyes in Samadhi, the yogi does not know the universe, which confronts him. Hence the universe can't be known as the Soul or the consciousness through yoga.

One is in a non-dual condition in deep sleep or Samadhi, One without a second, true, but he did not know it at the time. He says only in the waking experience afterward. Hence, there must be an inquiry so that you find nonduality whilst you are awake so that you can see nonduality at the time not afterward. Hence, too the need for inquiring into the nature of the universe and knowing it as the Soul or the consciousness whilst one is awake, and not during sleep or Samadhi.

Advaitic truth is the ultimate truth.  Yogis, mystics, and religious teachers do not accept the path of wisdom because it pries into the truth, the source, and the validity of the knowledge they claim. Therefore, it is the most difficult part of the study of Advaita.

That is why Sage Sankara said: ~VC-63- “Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the ‘Self’, how is one to achieve Liberation.

The universe in which we exist will not remain as reality when wisdom dawns. The universe is a mere mirage created out of consciousness and there is a conscious awareness of unity in diversity because there is no second thing that exists other than consciousness.

Lord Krishna confesses that the oldest wisdom of India (Advaitic wisdom) has been lost: people misinterpret and falsify it today as they did then. It is not yoga but the philosophic truth. But nobody knows it. The teachers of philosophy and leaders of mysticism or religion do not want to inquire into truth and have no time for it. (Gita –Chap- IV-v.2)

In Gita Chap.IV where Lord Krishna says: ~ "This yoga has been lost for ages" the word yoga refers to Gnana yoga, not other yogas: the force of the word this is to point this out.

Lord Krishna describes some of the other yogas but devotes this chapter separately to Gnana Yoga. So one sees even in those ancient days people did not care for Advaita; they wanted religion; hence Gnana got lost. That is why Krishna calls it "the supreme secret." Krishna points out that yoga must see "Brahman in action."

Until a man is ripe to receive Self-knowledge, he will not be able to understand what I am saying.

Sage Sankara said:~ Neither by the practice of yoga nor philosophy, nor by good works nor by learning, does liberation come, but only through the realization that Atman and Brahman are one in no other way(1) Vivekachoodamani v 56, pg. 25

Sage Sankara: ~   VC Neither sacred baths nor any amount of charity nor even Hundreds of pranayamas* can give us the knowledge about our own Self.  The firm experience of the nature of the Self is seen to proceed from inquiry along the lines of the salutary advice of the wise. (13)

Sage Sri Sankara: ~ “The vital- air-Sheath cannot be the Self because it is the modification of air (Vayu). Like air, it enters the body and goes out of it never knowing the joy and sorrow like others. It is ever dependent on the Self. ~Viveka Chudamani 165-166 pdf
Breath, body, and the world are one in essence. That essence is formless consciousness.   Consciousness (Soul) is the innermost Self.  Breath, body, and the world are part and parcel of the illusion. By holding the breath (vital force) as Self, one cannot get rid of ignorance. Without getting rid of the ignorance wisdom will not dawn. Wisdom dawns only when one realizes that form, time and space are one in essence.

Truth realization is very simple. We make it complicated by mixing diverse theories, different ideologies, religions, and yoga.  All our accumulated knowledge is the greatest hindrance in the pursuit of truth. To realize the truth beyond form, time, and space, one must have the courage of Buddha.

Buddha got enlightenment only after dropping the religion, Vedas, and the concept of God.  To realize the simple truth three is no need to go from one mountain to another, one Ashram to another or worship the Godmen or   Guru as a God, or convert from one faith to another.  The truth is universal. Anyone can realize it if has an intense urge.

There is no second thing that exists other than consciousness.  In the world in which we exist, all our thoughts, words, beliefs, and experiences are nothing but consciousness. Realizing the consciousness is everything, is truth realization or Self-realization or God-realization. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

By finding out who is the meditator?- the Advaitic wisdom will not dawn.+

By finding out who is the meditator the Advaitic wisdom will not dawn. The ‘Self is not limited to an individual because the Self is the Soul, which is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

Ashtavakra says:~ "This is your bondage, that you practice Samadhi or meditation.”

Sage Sankara says: ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation.
Perfect understanding and realization of ‘what is what’ leads to Self-awareness. By holding on to theories one remains in the realm of duality. You have to mentally go on dropping what is not the truth through deeper Self-search. Finally when you become aware of the fact that, your ego, your body, and the world are one in essence then there is Self-awareness in the midst of duality.

Sage Sankara says: ~ V.63 ~ "Without knowing and examining the external world, one can’t know Truth, as the idea that the external world exists, won't go. It can go only by an inquiry into the nature of the external world.

Remember:~

In Advaitic  Self-awareness, the ego is not considered as ego, even though the ego is present, the body is not considered as a body even though the body is present, the world which confronts him is not considered as the world even though the world is present, the duality ceases even though the duality is present, because of wisdom everything is considered as consciousness. Thus there is conscious oneness.

Only in ignorance, the world in which we exist is an illusion created out of the Soul, the ‘Self’.

The universe is both real and unreal. It is real because it is a manifestation of consciousness, but is unreal, in the sense, that it is not absolute and eternal like consciousness itself.

People's approach is more practical, and they stuck with the reality of the world, they take it as real. That is why all the confusion.

The look of an object will depend upon the medium through which the observer views it. In fact, our mental and intellectual conditions determine the world, observed and experienced. The commoner viewing the world will see differently from a Gnani viewing the same world. Each one interprets the world that they see in terms of their existing knowledge. The commoner sees everything based on the ego, therefore, experiences the birth, life, death, and the world as a reality, whereas a Gnani sees everything as consciousness and he is fully aware of the fact that, there is no second thing that exists other than the Soul or consciousness. Thus, all the egocentric (religious) adulteration has to be bifurcated to realize the ultimate truth, which is hidden by the illusory form, time, and space.

Sage Sankara says you must first know what is before you. If you cannot know that, what else can you know or understand? If you give up the external world in your inquiry, you cannot get the whole truth.

The Soul, the 'Self' reveals ‘what is real’ and ‘what is unreal” when the seeker is receptive and ready.

It takes time for the seeker to gain the perfect understanding of ‘what is the truth’ and ‘’what is untruth’. It takes time for the Soul, the innermost Self to wake up from the sleep of ignorance, and it takes time for one realizes the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.
Sage Sankara says: - VC-162-  “There is no liberation for a person of mere book-knowledge, howsoever well-read in the philosophy of Vedanta, so long as one does not give up the false identification with the body, sense organs, etc., which are unreal.
First, realize the ‘Self’ is not you but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness. Mentally hold on to the Soul and mentally reduce the world in which you exist as consciousness by realizing the world in which you exist is nothing but an illusion created out of consciousness.  : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Other then Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara all other wisdom propagated as Advaita hold no water.+

People are stuck to some Gurus and their ‘I’ centric teaching gets stuck permanently to the cage of ignorance thinking their Guru is sacred and their Gurus teaching as final. Such acceptance leads only to hallucinations.

I-centric’ Gurus and their wisdom are not the Advaitic wisdom of Sage  Sankara. Remember only Sage Sankara is the final authority and other the Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara all other wisdom propagated as Advaita holds no water.

The ‘I-centric’ Gurus of the past and present glorified the ‘Self as ‘I’ without verifying what ‘I’ is supposed to be in actuality. Many authors from east and west interviewed these ‘I-centric’ Gurus published the book propagating them as final. All these ‘I-centric’ gurus and their teaching nothing but mental garbage based on hallucinated imagination.

The ‘I’ is present in the form of the mind. The mind is not within the physical body because the mind is the whole universe. Without the mind, the universe ceases to exist.  There is only the mind that is present in the form of the universe. Thus, we have to investigate the world that confronts us.

Remember:~
You, your body, and the world in which you exist are within the dualistic illusion, which is present in the form of the ‘I’.
Realize you are not you, your body is not the body the world in which you exist is not the world but they are all made of single clay. That single clay is Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of the consciousness
Those who Gurus who propagated the ‘Self’ is within the body are erred. This mistake has to be rectified in order to realize the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the fullness of consciousness.  By emotionally sticking to these ’I’-centric gurus and their teachings you will remain permanently in the domain of ignorance.
Because of ignorance, you think you are an individual separate from the world and the world that existed prior to you, you are born in it later on. The ‘I’ is inborn ignorance cause of experiencing the world in which you exist as a reality whereas the world in which you exist is the dualistic illusion.
Whatever belongs to dualistic illusion is bound to be an illusion. So, your experience of birth, life, death, and the world is bound to be an illusion.
Everyone is holding some teaching or teacher or their accepted truth as a yardstick. All the accumulated egocentric knowledge is inadequate or useless in unfolding the mystery of the mind or universe.

The ‘I’ is inborn samskara or conditioning, because of this inborn samskara or conditioning one has accepted the ‘I’ as the ‘‘Self’’, he is ignorant of the fact that the ‘I’ itself’ is the cause of ignorance. Because of this ‘I’   he has accepted illusion as a reality.   Therefore, there is a need to realize ‘what is this ‘I’?’  in actuality. Without knowing ‘what is this ‘I’?’ in actuality it is impossible to unfold the hidden truth which is beyond the form, time, and space.

Remember:~

Sage Sankara says you must first know what is before you. If you cannot know that, what else can you know or understand? If you give up the external world in your inquiry, you cannot get the whole truth.

Sage Sankara: ~ “VC~ All this universe which through ignorance appears as of diverse forms, is nothing else but Brahman which is absolutely free from all the limitations of human thought.

Sage Sankara says: ~ V.63 ~ "Without knowing and examining the external world, one can’t know Truth, as the idea that the external world exists, won't go. It can go only by an inquiry into the nature of the external world.

Sage Sankara: ~VC~ if the universe is true, let it then be perceived in the state of deep sleep also. As it is not at all perceived, it must be unreal and false like dreams.

Sage Sankara says ~ When the whole universe, movable and immovable, is known to be Atman (Spirit), and thus the existence of everything else is negated, where is then any room to say that the body is Atman”.

Sage Sankara says: ~ “What is accepted without a proper inquiry will not lead to the final Goal. (Commentary on Vedanta Sutra)

Nothing has to be accepted as truth without verification.

Sage Sankara says ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation.

Sage Sankara is the only Sage who has final authority on the Advaitic truth (nonduality). The Advaitic truth is rational truth and scientific truth without dogma.

Sage Sankara says: ~ VC-4-7 All the effects of ignorance, root, and branch, are burnt down by the fire of knowledge, which arises from discrimination between these two—the Self and the not-Self.

It really depends on his inborn natural capacity to understand and assimilate it. Sage  Sankara’s wisdom is a Self-examiner, to test oneself to discover how near to Gnana he has approached and what progress has already been made on the path, and what still remains to be done. It sets up a criterion for Self-judgement. There are millions in search of truth but one in million will be able to grasp it.:~Santthosh Kumaar

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana frees the Soul, the Self from the cage of the dualistic illusion.+

Humanity has to awaken to the reality of its true existence by realizing the world in which humanity exists is merely an illusion created out of the consciousness through Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana frees the Soul, the innermost Self from the cage of the dualistic illusion.
Sage Sankara says ~ VC-162- There is no liberation for a person of mere book knowledge, howsoever well-read in the philosophy of Vedanta, so long as one does not give up the false identification with the body, sense organs, etc., which are unreal.
The Soul is the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. Consciousness is indestructible and inseparable from itself because it is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence. Consciousness pervades in everything and everywhere in all three states.
The Soul the  Self is ever free from all taint. The mind exists as a dualistic illusion or Maya created out of the Soul the Self. Thus, the Soul or consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman. Ultimate truth or Brahman is God.
Thus, consciousness is God and God pervades everything and everywhere in all three states. Thus, the mystic claim that ‘I AM GOD’ is incorrect because God is not an individual because God pervades everything and everywhere in all three states. Thus, there is no God but God.
Thus, one has to realize the individual God propagated by the belief systems is mere imaginary Gods based on the false self within the false experience.
Verily the Soul the innermost Self is all, free from differentiation and non-differentiation because it is formless. Neither can it be said, It is” not nor “It is not." It is a great mystery.
This is the whole substance of ultimate understanding. With Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma, Gnana is based on the Soul, the Self, whereas all other Knowledge is based on the ego. Whatever is based on the ego is bound to be a falsehood.
Don’t bother about anything other than the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Only stick to the Soul, the ultimate truth, or Brahman or God. mentally Don’t let go of your hold on the Soul under any circumstances.
Unless and until ignorance is removed and Self -Knowledge is gained, the world in which we exist will prevail as reality. Therefore, there is a need to know how this world came into existence.
The Soul, which we do not see, we say is real; and the world, which we do see, we say is false.
In Self-awareness, what exists for us does not really exist; and what does not exist for us, really exists.
The ignorance creates the division of illusory form, time, and space in the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
The universe is based on illusory form, time, and space. without this illusory division of the form,t time, and space within the consciousness, the universe ceases to exist.
The illusory division of the form,t time, and space of creating divisions based on sex, race, nationality, religion or caste, and creed.

Remember:~
Mentally you must imbibe the Advaitic Truth of the Sages of Sage Sri, Sankara.
Mentally you must shed ignorance and get disentangled from the myth propagated by the religious myth.
Mentally you must shed all the accumulated egocentric knowledge and get disentangled from the religious conditioning.
Mentally you must shed prejudices and get disentangled from the superficial distinctions
Mentally you must tread the Atmic path to the formless, timeless, and spaceless existence. the path to the Soul, the real God, One without the second. ...
When you enthrone the Soul, the one without the second mentally, you do not necessarily put an end to the game of dualistic life. You have to play your illusory role in the dualistic illusion without being caught up in duality play by remaining in this world, not of this world. Unity in the midst of its diversity.
The Soul is One and all divisions are imaginary. Be ye established in this eternal Truth
The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness is an undivided and indivisible Ocean.

Remember:~
The Atman, the innermost Self cannot be experienced, because the experience is possible only in the realm of duality. Atman is prior to any experience. In Self-awareness, there is neither experience nor experiencer.

In Self-awareness, the body, ego, and the world are not considered different from consciousness. Thus the whole universe (form, time, and space) in which we exist is nothing but an illusion created out of consciousness. Thus, consciousness alone is real all else is merely an illusion created out of consciousness. ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Many souls theory is religious theory based on false self (ego) within the false world.+

The Soul is the  Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.  The Soul is the cause of the world in which you exist and it itself is uncaused.

Many souls' theory is a religious theory based on false self (ego) within the false world.  When the world in which we exist is created out of a single clay and that single clay is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, the question of many souls does not arise. There is only one and only Soul, which is the cause of the universe.

You are not the ‘Self’ because you are mortal.  You are mortal because you are bound by the experience of birth, life, death, and the world.  The ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness is immortal because it is ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

The one that is in ignorance is the Soul; the one that has to wake up from the sleep of ignorance is the Soul, the Self.

The world in which you exist is the product of ignorance. When ignorance vanishes the world in which you exist is merely an illusion created out of consciousness. Without the illusion, the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness alone will prevail as the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.    Thus, the  Soul is the ultimate truth or  Brahman or God in truth.

Self-realization is necessary to realize ‘what is truth and ‘what is the untruth.

Many souls' theory is based on the false self and false experience(world). When the whole universe is created out of single stuff, which is the Soul then whatever the universe contains is also consciousness. Thus, the Soul is one, and in ignorance, the diversity appears as reality.

Sage Sankara asks his opponents "How do you know there are separate individual Souls? Have you seen the Soul of a man? You can only say that you have seen different bodies. To say more is to misuse language. Therefore I call you liars unless you give proof, which is impossible.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe.

So, it proves the Soul is not an individual but it is the support of all that exists in this universe.
The Soul is not limited to an individual. The individuals are many but the Soul is one. The individual exists within the universe. The Soul is the cause of the universe and it itself is uncaused.
The Soul is not within the human body. The universe is created out of single stuff. That single stuff is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Thus, whatever universe contains is bound to be the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
In the dream world, the dream people appeared together and disappeared together. Similarly, the waking world and waking people appeared together and disappears together. Thus, the dream is created out of single stuff and that stuff is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. In the same way, the waking experience also created out single stuff. And that single stuff is consciousness.
The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness is the cause of the three states and it itself is uncaused. The many soul theories are religious and yogic fables based on the false self (ego) and false experience (waking).
Knowledge of the single stuff is Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
Like an ornament made from gold is Gold, which is born out of consciousness is consciousness. Like gold is the permanent thing, in ornaments made of gold, similarly, the mind, which is in the form of the universe is born out of consciousness, is consciousness in its essence.
Deeper Self-search reveals the fact that you are not the Self, the world in which you exist is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, but consciousness is specifically not an entity or identity or a thing within the world in which you exist. But it is the cause of the world in which you exist and it itself is uncaused.
The Soul is hidden within the world in which you exist. The nature of the Soul is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.
Thus, it is necessary to realize the world in which you exist is created out of single stuff, which is consciousness. The consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.
Thus, God alone is real; the world in which you exist is merely an illusion created out of consciousness.
“It takes time for the seeker to gain the perfect understanding of ‘what is the truth’ and ‘’what is untruth’. It takes time for the Soul, the Self to wake up from the sleep of ignorance, and it takes time for one realizes the truth, which is beyond the illusory form, time, and space.: ~Santthosh Kumaar

Meditation is not Advaitic wisdom.+

Meditation is a progressive step and there is no need to condemn them.  Religion and yoga are not the ends, for they can never directly lead to Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. All other teachings and practices other than Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana are for beginners only. There are stages in comprehending the truth. Meditation is not Advaitic wisdom.
Meditation always means the critical analysis of the Self to get rid of ignorance.  The ignorance will not vanish by remaining without the thoughts or focusing attention on some object.
Sage Sankara says:~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation.
Until a man is ripe to receive Self-knowledge, it is fatal to ask him to give up meditation.

Indulging in yoga and meditation will lead not lead to the ultimate end of understanding. Yoga cannot remove ignorance. It is only a step. It removes obstructions.

For meditation, one need not sit and chant God's name or concentrate on some object.  Anything you do will not be meditation.  If there is a doer then it is not meditation.  As long as there is doing, there is ignorance. As long as the doer is present, the ego is present.  If the ego is present the whole world is present.  If the world is present the duality is present. If the duality is present then there is an illusion.  If the illusion is present the birth, life, death, and the world are experienced as reality.

By realizing the world in which you exist is created out of single stuff.  That single stuff is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Knowledge of the single stuff is Self-knowledge.

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana leads to self-awareness. In self-awareness the Soul, the Self' remains in its own awareness in the midst of the form, time, and space.  Self-awareness is real meditation. Mediation is the nature of the Soul, the innermost Self.

Meditation is not a means to find the truth hidden by form, time, and space. Without realizing the ‘Self-is not you but the Self is the Soul all the effort used in the meditation leads to hallucinate thoughtlessness. The thoughtlessness is not wisdom. by ending the thoughts you may get peace, not  Advaitic wisdom.

Thoughts come only in the domain of form, time, and space. Without the form, time, and space the thoughts will not raise. Whatever efforts you do to Self-realization without realizing the ‘Self is not you but the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness.
Ashtavakra says: ~ “This is your bondage, that you practice Samadhi or meditation.”

The meditation, meditator, and the world in which meditation is performed are an illusion created out of single clay. That single clay is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Knowledge of the single stuff is Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana leads to Self-awareness.

In Self-awareness of the Soul, the 'Self' remains in its own awareness in the midst of the dualistic illusion. Self-awareness is real meditation. Thus, Self-awareness is real meditation. Mediation is the nature of the Soul, the innermost Self.
Meditation always means the critical analysis of the Self to get rid of ignorance.
Chandogya Upanishad: One who meditates upon and realizes the 'Self' discovers that everything in the cosmos-- energy and space, fire and water, name and form, birth and death, mind and will, word and deed, mantrams and meditation--all come from the Self.

People dip into meditation, but they do not understand that that is only one-half of the truth and that this dipping is also a mental discipline for them to understand the true nature of the external universe, which understanding they must next get if they are to become a Gnani. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
