The visions and mystic experience are a reality within the domain of the dualistic illusion (Maya).+

Sage Goudpada says that whatever is seen, whether external or internal, whether by the ordinary persons or yogis, is unreal.

Snake & Rope:

The snake is the universe and the rope is the Soul, the Self. Through deeper self-search, when the unreal nature of the snake (universe) is exposed than the rope (Soul) alone exists as the ultimate reality.
***
A person, seeing a rope in dim light, mistakes it for a snake. He is as frightened as he would have been if there had been a real snake there. The snake is said to have an ‘illusory reality. The illusory snake is described as a superimposition on the rope. The snake is not real, because, it is found on examination with a light that it never existed there. At the same time, it was experienced as reality till ignorance prevailed. Similarly, this waking experience is experienced as a reality due to ignorance.
When wisdom dawns then the unreal nature of the waking experience is exposed. At the dawn of Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana, the waking experience has no existence apart from the Soul or the consciousness. The consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.
The waking experience is, therefore, said to be superimposed on consciousness the same way as the dream is superimposed on consciousness.
The waking experience is the practical reality because it is real until the attainment of Self-realization. The Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of the consciousness alone, has absolute reality; because it is absolutely changeless because it is formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

Remember:~

The dream becomes unreal when the waking takes place.   In what one sees and feels and experiences within the dream as a reality yet their experiences are untrue when waking takes place. Similarly, when the Soul, the Self, wakes up in its own awareness the waking experience becomes unreal.

The visions and mystic experiences are a reality within the domain of dualistic illusion (universe).  From the standpoint of the Soul, the Self, the universe is merely an illusion(Maya).

What then is it in us, which ascertains the truth of these experiences? If one says it is a mystic experience, then everyone’s experience differs from another. Such disagreement does not settle the matter.

Thus, these are the two common sources ~ scriptural authority and Yogic Samadhi--but both are shown untenable because both are based on the false Self-(ego).

Mystic experience and Yogic Samadhi are not wisdom. Yogis consider his body as the Self and the yogi considers his body as the author of the Samadhi or experience, whereas the 'Self' is not physical but the Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Remember:~

The body and the world are mere an experience within the illusion.   The witness of the illusion is always formless and apart. Thus the body and the world are an object to the formless witness.

Thus, any kind of experience is merely an illusion because the experience implies duality. The duality is not a reality. The experience comes in the form of the mind and disappears as the formless soul.

Thus, whatever individual experiences, experienced as a person, within the universe, are bound to be an illusion.

Thus, yogi Samadhi or mystic experience is an individual experience based on the false Self (ego or you) within the false experience (waking).  Thus, there is a need to mentally trace the formless witness of the three states and drop the three states (illusion) mentally in order to bring unity is diversity in the midst of the illusion.

Where there is experience then there is duality.

Where there is duality then there is always an illusion.

Where there is an illusion then there is always ignorance.

Where there is ignorance there is always ego.

Where there is ego the falsehood is experienced as reality.

Therefore, getting rid of the falsehood in its totality is necessary to realize the reality. Thus, transcending ego alone one cannot get non-dual reality, the whole falsehood, which is in the form of the mind or universe has to be transcended mentally in order to realize the ultimate reality.

Remember:~

All the three states are mere an appearance. All appearance has not appeared to the physical entity, but to the Soul. Man and the world are mere appearances.  That is, the illusion is merely an appearance. Thus, man cannot be considered as the witness, since man and his experience of the world are within the illusion.

Thus, the witness of the illusion is within the dualistic illusion but it is apart from the dualistic illusion.

It is within the illusion as its formless substance and it is apart from the illusion as its formless witness.  The formless substance and witness is the Soul or consciousness. The Soul or the consciousness is the 'Self' hidden by the dualistic illusion.

Realizing the Soul as Self is Self-Realization.  Therefore, the Soul alone is real and all else is merely an illusion. Learning to view and judge the three states on the base of the Soul, which is the Self, leads to nondual Self-awareness.

Remember:~

The ‘I’ is not the root of all the appearance because the ‘I’ itself is an appearance. Only ignorant people say ‘I’ is the root of all appearance.
Those who Gurus who propagated the ‘Self’ is within the body are erred. This mistake has to be rectified in order to realize the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of the consciousness, is the fullness of consciousness.  By emotionally sticking to these ’I’-centric gurus and their teachings you will remain permanently in the domain of ignorance.
Because of ignorance, you think you are an individual separate from the world and the world existed prior to you, you are born in it later on. The ‘I’ is inborn ignorance cause of experiencing the world in which you exist as a reality whereas the world in which you exist is a dualistic illusion.
Whatever belongs to dualistic illusion is bound to be an illusion. So, your experience of birth, life, death, and the world is bound to be an illusion.
Everyone is holding some teaching or teacher or their accepted truth as a yardstick. All the accumulated egocentric knowledge is inadequate or useless in unfolding the mystery of the mind or universe.

The I is inborn samskara or conditioning, because of this inborn samskara or conditioning one has accepted the I as the ‘‘Self’’, he is ignorant of the fact that the I itself is the cause of ignorance. Because of this I   he has accepted illusion as a reality.   Therefore, there is a need to realize what is this I? - in actuality. Without knowing what is this I? in actuality it is impossible to unfold the hidden truth which is beyond the form, time, and space.

Until you hold the ‘Self ‘as the ‘I’ you will never be able to get Self-realization.  ‘I’ hides the Soul, which is the Self.

I’ is ignorance.

‘I’ is the duality.

‘I’ is form, time, and space.

‘I’ is the universe.

‘I’ is the waking.

‘I’ is the dream.

‘I’ is the illusion.

‘I’ is the experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

Remember:~

Without the ‘I’ there is no ignorance.

Without the ‘I’ there is no duality.

Without the ‘I’ there is no form, time, and space.

Without the ‘I’ there is no universe.

Without the ‘I’ there is no waking.

Without the ‘I’ there is no dream.

Without the ‘I’ there is no illusion.

Without the ‘I’ there is no experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

The ‘I’ hides the Soul, the ‘Self. The ‘I’ hides the truth.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say ‘I,’, If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

Bhagvad Gita: ~ The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

It is time to discard the ‘I’. Never use the word the ‘I’ or I AM for the Self.   : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

For a Gnani all the three states are mere an illusion created out of the consciousness.+

Religious Gods are not God in truth. Bible says “God is a Spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Rig Veda says may ye never accept another God in place of the Atman (Spirit) nor worship other than the Atman.
What is the use of arguing with religious believers?  They think what they know as the ultimate truth.
Whatever is real in the world in which we exist is God. All that is real in the world in which we exist is the Soul, the Self.
Thus, by realizing the Self, which is the Soul, we discover the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness itself is God which is hidden by the ‘I’, which is the dualistic illusion.
Even The Bhagavad Gita says: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).
When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

Even Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God in truth) is in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.

Even Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Those who indulge in a perverse argument on their own standpoint and opinion are not seeking the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.  They just want to exhibit their accumulated knowledge accumulated from here and there.  They think what they know is the ultimate truth.
They think whatever they propagate is the ultimate truth. The question never occurs to them, “Is what I know is really the truth?

That is why Jesus said: ~ Do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you. (Matthew -7:6)
~ Jesus meant knowledge of Spirit or God or Self-knowledge or Advaitic wisdom.

Remember:~
Spirituality is nothing to do with religion. Spirituality is based on the Spirit, the real God whereas religion is based on the false self within the false experience.
Bible says: ~ “God is a Spirit, and they that worship God must worship Godin Spirit and in Truth. (John 4:24)”,

God in truth is not physical. God is the Spirit. God is the innermost Self.  God in truth is birthless and deathless because God in truth is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence. The birth, life, and death happen within the illusory world, which is created out of God in truth, which is present in the form of the Spirit.

People who are incapable to inquire and reason are tending to follow some philosophy without verification. Therefore the more ignorant they are the easier it is to get them into a religious fold. Religion is so strong and popular because it makes no demand on the intelligent: It simply requires belief in a guru and his teachings.

It never strikes a believer to doubt whether his inherited religion is true. They never use their reason because they start and conclude that their religion alone is true because they never question.

Theological philosophers say God is a perfect being, but they have never known God, never proved his existence; hence their ascription of perfection to Him is purely Self-imagined or assumed.

The scholastic or mystic argument is endless. If one says "God is formless” another will reply, "No, God has attributes! If one says "his religion is higher" another will reply, "No, it is lower." It is impossible to get anywhere with such talk because both sides are merely imagining because they think on the base of the false Self and false experience. When the Self is not physical then whatever is seen, known, believed, and experienced as a person is bound to be a falsehood.   Therefore, there is a need to know the fact that, the Self is formless.

The paradise or heavens and hell are mere religious injected imagination.  When the Self is formless then the experience of birth, life, death, and the universe is merely an.  But where people have got little thinking capacity, they begin to disbelieve through the contradictions of various contending orthodox claims and descriptions.

For religion one can interpret texts as he likes, in whatever way that pleases him, he simply imagines away.

Mundaka Upanishad:~ The study of the Vedas, linguistics, Rituals, astronomy, and all the arts Can be called lower knowledge. The higher is that which leads to Self-realization. The eye cannot see it; the mind cannot grasp it. The deathless 'Self' has neither caste nor race, neither eyes nor ears nor hands nor feet. Sages say this Self is infinite in the great and in the small, everlasting and changeless, the source of life.

In the pursuit of truth, the ultimate truth has to be proved, not assumed. Pundits (scholars) who take scriptures for granted are not Gnanis.

Pundits teach that all is yourself, but none of them can show that this is so, none has analyzed it scientifically, and none can prove it. The rational proof is needed so that one arrives at knowing truth i.e. wisdom; punditry is mere dogma, parrotism, and repetition of what they read in scripture. Scripters are not a  yardstick and the scriptural truth is not proof.   Pundits take scripters as an authority.   Authoritarianism merely assumes as true what another says, but what has yet to be proved.

Pundits have to test truth in this world not in the next world.  There is no proof other than blind belief based on the scriptures, belief is not the truth.  So, doctrines are not the means to realize the truth. There is no need to follow them to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana.

Doubts and Confusions arise when the seeker finds the scripters and yoga are inadequate or useless to quench his spiritual thirst.

Disappointments in religion or yoga or even science imply error or ignorance. The seeker reaches a stage whether he is right?" Where is the certainty that he is proceeding on the right lines?" Thus, the doubts arise and the inquiring spirit comes and impels us to search elsewhere for truth where it will not be possible even to have doubt.

The test is therefore in the realization of the truth. And only in non-duality, where there are no two to argue about views or to have a difference of opinion can such doubtlessness be possible.  Belief depends upon unstable bases whereas certainty depends on the proof.

Remember:~

Religion was coherent because it had a transcendent God as a central doctrine, whereas in pursuit of truth god cannot be considered as the center.

First, one should not hold a god as the center of existence without verification. Both the theist and atheist are theories with nothing to do with ultimate truth or Brahman.

Seeker of truth has to get rid of his doubts through deeper Self-search on his own, to realize the fact that, the Self is not the form but the Self is formless. Thus his analysis and reasoning have to be based on the formless (Soul), not on the form (ego).

Simply going on believing and accepting whatever is said by the punditry will not lead one towards the path of wisdom. All the doubt has to be got rid of "by the sword of Self-Knowledge."

The scriptures and yoga are not necessary if one follows the inner (formless) path.  Religion and yoga are not the means to the path of wisdom.

There is a controversy as to the meaning of Maya. One Advaitic School says it is a Shakti of Brahman whereby both illusion and creation are brought about.

How do you know that it is the truth? If one bases it on the sayings of Rishis and saints, granting that they honestly believed in their experiences, there is still the query how do they know that these experiences were the truth?

Remember:~

Even in dreams whatever is experienced becomes unreal when waking takes place.  Similarly, when wisdom dawns one becomes aware of the fact that the Self is neither the waking entity nor the dream entity.  Thus whatever is experienced as a waking experience is as real as a dream.

For a Gnani all the three states are merely an illusion created out of the consciousness, because he is fully aware of the fact that, the witness of the three states is not the body but the Soul or consciousness.

A Gnani is fully aware of the fact that his body, ego, and the universe are nothing but consciousness. Thus, he finds the experience of any sort is the play of the consciousness and experience is merely an illusion.  The one who witnesses the experience, which is in the form of the universe (mind) is merely an illusion. :~Santthosh Kumaar

The mind is virtually the universe. The universe appears as waking or dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (nonduality).+

The mind is virtually the universe. The universe appears as a waking or dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (nonduality). Efforts should be made to understand the mind. Advaitic is wisdom is an ancient truth preserved as a secret by sages of truth.
We are within the illusion. Whatever we have seen, feel, known, believed and experienced are also within the illusion. The formless substance and witness of the illusion is the Soul of the Self.
In Self-awareness, the substance and witness are one in essence. That essence is the Soul which is present in the form of consciousness (Spirit).
The dream entity and the dream world are within the dream. Similarly, you and your experience of the world are within the waking experience. The witness of the dream is not the waking entity. Similarly, the witness of the waking experience is not the waking entity. The Soul is the witness of the coming and going of the three states. The three states are nothing to do with the Soul the innermost 'Self' because on the standpoint of the Soul the Self, the three states are non-existent as reality.
Remember: ~
Sage Sankara: ~ “VC~ All this universe which through ignorance appears as of diverse forms, is nothing else but Brahman (Consciousness) which is absolutely free from all the limitations of human thought.
The universe is the product of ignorance. The ignorance is present in the form of the ‘I’.
Sage Sankara says: - VC-47 All the effects of ignorance, root, and branch, are burnt down by the fire of knowledge, which arises from discrimination between these two—the Self and the non-Self.
Until you think you are an individual separate from the world and the world existed prior to you and you are born in it afterward the ignorance will prevail as a reality. Till ignorance is there the universe prevails as reality.
Sage Sankara says ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation.
Perfect understanding and realization of ‘what is what’ leads Self-awareness. By holding onto theories one remains in the realm of duality. You have to mentally go on dropping what is not the truth through deeper Self-search. Finally when you become aware of the fact that, your ego, your body, and the world are one in essence then there is Self-awareness in the midst of duality.

Remember:~

The dualistic illusion (universe) is present as a reality until the ignorance is present.  When the ignorance vanishes, then the Soul remains in its own awareness. From the standpoint of the Soul, the Self, there is no second thing that exists other than the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness. Thus, consciousness alone is. Everything is consciousness.   The unreal (universe) is created out of the real (Soul or Spirit).

When you realize the words, thoughts and the world in which you exist is created out single stuff and that single stuff is consciousness, then you will realize the truth which is beyond the form, time and space.

When everything is created out of the consciousness then there is no second thing exists, other than the consciousness. It takes time to grasp the Advaitic truth. All the obstacles have to be overcome one by one.

Realize with full and a firm conviction that: ~

You are not you but the consciousness; your body is not the body but the consciousness, the world in which you exist is not the world but the consciousness.

Everything is known, seen, believed, and experienced by you is nothing but the consciousness then what else remains, which is not the consciousness. There is nothing else to realize other than to realize the consciousness alone is, everything else is merely an illusion created out of the consciousness.

By realizing everting is consciousness is the Advaitic wisdom dawns. Perfect understanding and assimilation of ‘what is what’ lead to Advaitic awareness.

Without the world, in which you exist God in truth alone exists. When God in truth disappears the world, in which you exist appears. The world, in which you exist disappears God in truth appears. Thus, realize the God in truth to be the Soul.

The Soul is the Self. Thus, the Soul which is present in the form of consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

If you stick to the ultimate truth than the world in which you exist is merely an illusion created out of consciousness. If you realize this truth you will live in this world but not of this world. Thus, consciousness alone is real and eternal.

Remember:
If the Self is not the ‘I’, then why you still hold the self as the “I’. The ‘I’ implies duality without the ‘I’ there is no duality. The duality is an illusion. Holding the ‘I’ as self is blocking the realization of the truth beyond the form, time and space.

The mind is virtually the universe. The universe appears as waking or dream (duality) and disappears deep sleep (nonduality).  Efforts should be made to understand the mind. Advaitic is wisdom is an ancient truth preserved as a secret by Sages of truth.

We are within the illusion. Whatever we see, feel, known, believed and experienced are also within the illusion. The formless substance and witness of the illusion is the Soul, the Self.

In Self-awareness, the substance and witness are one in essence. That essence is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness (Spirit).

The dream entity and the dream world are within the dream. Similarly, you and your experience of the world are within the waking experience.  The witness of the dream is not the waking entity.  Similarly, the witness of the waking experience is not the waking entity. The Soul is the witness of the coming and going of the three states.   The three states are nothing to do with the Soul, the 'Self' because, from the standpoint of the Soul the Self,   the three states are non-existent as reality.

In deep sleep, the Soul remains in its own awareness. In waking or dream the Soul is in ignorance of its own formless true nature. In deep sleep, there is objectless awareness. The seeker has to try to catch that in the midst of the object (waking experience).

The one that becomes waking, one that becomes deep sleep, and one that becomes a dream is the Soul which is present in the form of consciousness.   The three states are created out of single stuff. That single stuff is the Soul that is present in the form of consciousness.  Knowledge of that single stuff is self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Remember:~

The universe in which we all exist is created out of single stuff. That single stuff is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Knowledge of the single stuff is Self-knowledge. The Soul is the Self.

Self-knowledge leads to Self-awareness. Self-awareness leads to unity in diversity (oneness) because everything is created out of single stuff.

The whole universe, in which we exist, is nothing but the Soul. The Soul alone is real and the universe in which we are discussing is merely an illusion.  Thus, our words, thoughts, and our intellectuality have no value in the Atmic discussion. The Atmic discussion is not based on the form, time and space, but it is the knowledge hidden by ignorance.

There is no scope for argument in the Atmic discussion.  The argument is possible only from the non-dualistic perspective. On the nondualistic perspective, there is no dualistic illusion, because, there is unity in diversity or Oneness.    : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

The Soul ,the One Without A Second.+

Bhagavad Gita: 7: 19:~ "Such a man who has attained true knowledge, the knowledge of Self, the knowledge of Atman, worships ‘Self’ as~ Atman (God in truth) alone exists~ everything is Atman, there exists nothing except Atman. Such a man is extremely rare."
All is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The whole universe is consciousness. From consciousness, the universe comes. When the universe disappears, the consciousness still remains without form, time, and space
People think everything is energy but without consciousness, how can one know it is energy. It is only intellectual speculation.
Chandogya Upanishad:~ One who meditates upon and realizes the 'Self' discovers that everything in the cosmos-- energy and space, fire and water, name and form, birth and death, mind and will, word and deed, mantrams and meditation--all come from the Self.
The sun, the moon, the stars, planets shine because of the Soul or Spirit. The Soul shines and all things else shine as a result. Everything in the universe reflects but that light of the Soul which is present in the form of consciousness. Merely to know the truth is not enough to escape from the tangle of illusion.
Remember:~
The mind is in the form of the universe. From the standpoint of the Soul, the Self the universe is merely an illusion. The illusion arises from ignorance. Enlightenment comes with detachment from the illusion by realizing the experience of the form, time and space are one in essence.
People who argue that Soul does not exist are not aware of the fact that their own existence is dependent on the Soul, which is in the form of the consciousness.

One should not conclude because some great thinkers said so or some philosophy says so. Without consciousness, the mind, which is in the form of the universe ceases to exist. Man ceases to exist without the universe. The universe ceases to exist without the Soul, the innermost Self. The Soul can exist with or without the universe.

The form, time, and space are one in essence. That essence is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Deeper self-search is necessary to understand, assimilate and realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

The Soul, the One Without A Second:~

The Soul is Self-evident. It is not established by extraneous proofs. It is not possible to deny the Soul because It is the very essence of the one who denies It. The Soul is the basis of all kinds of knowledge, presuppositions, and proofs. The Soul is the Self.

The  Self is within,  the Self is without;  the Self is before,  the Self is behind;  the Self is on the right, the  Self is on the left;  the Self is above and the Self is below.

The Soul is everything. Thus,  the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Once the seeker accepts the fact that, the Self is neither the ‘I’, nor the body then realizes the fact that, the consciousness is the true Self, and he establishes himself in that conviction.  Once this conviction is established the then the waking experience is absolutely non-existent as reality.

It is very difficult for those who strongly believe the ‘I’, as the Self to realize the truth. Most of the spiritual paths hold the ‘I’, as the Self and spin their imagination on the base of the ‘I’, which leads them to hallucination.  People mistake that Self as “I” whereas the gross bodies are many. So ‘I’ cannot be the Self.

Sentimentally and emotionally getting involved with some teachings or teachers is a great hindrance in the pursuit of truth. People hold their guru as the ultimate authority and drop their pursuit of truth and indulge in their glorifying and worshiping the gurus, which keeps them in the permanently in ignorance.

Remember:~

The serious seeker should constantly reflect on the Self constantly through deeper Self-search.   The Soul, the innermost Self is in the form of consciousness.   Realizing the Self is not ‘I’ but the Self is the Soul, which witnesses the ‘I’. Self-knowledge is the only tool for the acquisition of final freedom from experiencing the illusory duality as a reality.

The seeker has to have the indifference mentally to all the three states because the three states are an illusion created out of consciousness. Holding the three states as reality is a great hindrance in the pursuit of truth.

Thus, one has to remove all the obstacles and mental barricade one by one, by realizing the Self is not the form but the Self is the formless Soul.    The three states are perishable in their nature because they are an illusion created out of the Soul or consciousness.

The Soul or the consciousness, which is the formless substance and witness of the mirage, is real and eternal.  Thus, the Soul or consciousness is the Self. And knowing and realizing consciousness as the Self is the means to the attainment of Self- Realization or Truth-Realization.

The Soul is the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. Consciousness is the formless substance and witness of the three states. Consciousness is alone real and permanent. The three states are an object opposed to it, which is transient – such a settled conviction is truly known as discrimination.

Turning attention completely from all the three states and concentrating only on consciousness which is the formless substance and the witness of the three states is the only means to acquire non-dual wisdom.

Intense urge to become free from the bonds of this birth, life deaths and world, leads, one to indulge in pursuit of truth.

Only serious seekers who have an intense urge to acquire Self- Knowledge should have the courage to discard the false-knowledge with a view to attaining non-dualistic wisdom.:~Santthosh Kumaar

The ultimate truth has to be realized first without any scriptures, then only it is possible to know what the scriptures are saying.+

Sage Sankara said:~Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many Gods as you please, observe ceremonies, and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.
When the ‘Self’ is not the body (you) but the Soul then the question of wife, children, or whatever is connected to the body will not arise.
All these experiences as a father, son, Guru, and pupil the world in which they all exist were one and the same consciousness appearing differently. All these distinctions disappear when one realizes Self is not ‘I’ but the Soul. The Soul is the cause of this world in which we exist and it itself is uncaused.
Perfect understanding and realization of ‘what is what’ leads Self-awareness. By holding on to theories one remains in the realm of duality. One has to mentally go on dropping what is not the truth through deeper Self-search. Finally when one becomes aware of the fact that, his ego, his body, and the world are one in essence then there is Self-awareness in the midst of duality.
Sage Sankara says: ~ V.63- "Without knowing and examining the external world, one can’t know Truth, as the idea that the external world exists, won't go. It can go only by an inquiry into the nature of the external world.
In nondual Self-awareness, the ego is not considered as ego, even though ego is present, the body is not considered as body even though body is present, the world which confronts him is not considered as the world even though the world is present, the duality ceases even though the duality is present, and because of wisdom everything is considered as consciousness. Thus there is conscious oneness.
Only in ignorance, the world in which we exist is an illusion created out of the Soul, the innermost ‘Self’.

Remember:~

Sage Sankara says:~  Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae), and medicines to such a one?

Scriptures are not needed in the pursuit of truth. Even the Upanishads and the sages of truth declare the same.

The ultimate truth has to be ascertained without the scriptures by realizing the self is neither the waking entity not the dream entity, but the Self is the Soul which is present in the form of consciousness.

In the realm of truth the form, time and space are created out of single stuff. That single stuff is consciousness. Realizing the single stuff as the ultimate truth is Self-realization or truth realization. To realize this truth there is no need for the scriptures.

The ultimate truth has to be realized first then only it is possible to know what the scriptures are saying.

Scriptures are being added from time to time. This process will go on. There is the final authority among them? One contradicts the other: duality reigns supreme.

I quote Scriptural citation only after verifying reality and proving the truth, to point out that the scriptures teach the same thing. If one quotes them before having demonstrated truth, then it is scholasticism.

Self-knowledge cannot be attained by the study of the scriptures and intellectual understanding or by bookish knowledge.  Therefore, there is no use in studying the scriptures and other scriptures to acquire non-dual wisdom.  That is why Buddha rejected the scriptures, and even Sage Sankara indicated that the ultimate truth lies beyond religion, the concept of God, and the scriptures.

There is only one Reality to be known, the same for all seekers, but the ways to it, are hidden by the religion.

Self-discovery is the only way, toward non-dual Absolute without any religious doctrines, which will help the seekers to unfold the mystery of the illusion in which we all are searching for the truth of our true existence.

That is why Sage Sankara says:~  56. Neither by Yoga, nor by Sankhya, nor by good work, nor by learning, but by the realization of one's identity with Brahman is Liberation possible, and by no other means.

58. Loud speech consisting of a shower of words, the skill in expounding the Scriptures, and likewise erudition - these merely bring on a little personal enjoyment to the scholar but are no good for Liberation.

59. The study of the Scriptures is useless so long as the highest Truth is unknown, and it is equally useless when the highest Truth has already been known.

60. The Scriptures consisting of many words are a dense forest that merely causes the mind to ramble. Hence, men of wisdom should earnestly set about knowing the true nature of the Self.

61. For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae), and medicines to such a one?

62. A disease does not leave off if one simply utters the name of the medicine, without taking it; (similarly) without direct realization one cannot be liberated by the mere utterance of the word Brahman.

63. Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the Self, how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman? — It would result merely in an effort of speech.

64. Without killing one’s enemies, and possessing oneself of the splendor of the entire surrounding region, one cannot claim to be an emperor by merely saying, ‘I am an emperor’.

65. As a treasure hidden underground requires (for its extraction) competent instruction, excavation, the removal of stones and other such things lying above it, and (finally) grasping, but never comes out by being (merely) called out by name, so the transparent Truth of the self, which is hidden by Maya and its effects, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, followed by reflection, meditation and so forth, but not through perverted arguments.

66. Therefore, the wise should, as in the case of disease and the like, personally strive by all the means in their power to be free from the bondage of repeated births and deaths.

Then there is no need for the scriptures, religion, and idea of god.  One has to be more rational to realize the Advaitic truth, which is the ultimate truth or scientific truth.

Remember:~

For one who wants to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana, the mantas will not help to realize the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.

For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae) and medicines to such a one?

Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity with the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not  even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together

Liberation does not come by merely saying the word “Brahman.” Brahman must be realized. Until you allow this apparent universe to dissolve from the consciousness until you have realized Brahman, how can you find liberation just by saying the word Brahman?

A buried treasure is not uncovered by merely uttering the words: “Come forth.” You must follow the right directions, dig, remove the stones and earth from above it, and then make it your own. In the same way, the pure truth of the Atman, which is buried under the illusion and the effects of the illusion, can be reached by soulcentric reasoning, but never by perverted arguments.

The world in which you and guru exist is the product of ignorance. If there is no ignorance, then the world, in which you and your guru exist ceases to exist as a reality. When reality appears this ignorance that one thinks as reality becomes unreal.

The ultimate truth has to be realized first without any philosophy, then only it is possible to know what the scriptures are saying.
Reality is simply the loss of ignorance. Until the ignorance is there the body, ego and the world exist as a reality. When ignorance vanishes, then the Soul, the Self, remains in its own awareness. In Self-awareness there is unity in diversity, thus there is only oneness.  : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
