It is not Buddha and Mahavira was first attacked the Vedas, but Lord Krishna himself spoke against them before Buddha and Mahavira.+

The rituals mentioned in the Karmakhanda of Vedas are sought to be negated in the Jnanakhanda, which is also part of the same scriptures. While Karmakhand enjoins upon you the worship of various deities and lays down the rules for the same, Jnanakhanda constituted by the Upanishads ridicules worshipers of deities as dim-witted persons no better than the beast.

This seems strange, the latter part of Vedas contradicting the former part.  The first part deals throughout with karma while the second or concluding part is all about Jnana. Owing to the difference, people have gone so far as to divide it into two sections:  the Vedas (that is the first part) to mean the Karmakhanda and the Upanishads (Vedanta) to mean the Jnanakanda.

The rituals, which are practiced in Hinduism, are not Vedic rituals, and the Puranic Gods are not Vedic gods.  Because:~

The Soul, the ‘Self is the Infinite God.

The Soul is the Self. God in truth is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. God in truth is the fullness of consciousness without the illusory division of form, time, and space.  Therefore, there is nothing apart from it.

God in truth is self-evident. God is not established by extraneous proof. It is not possible to deny God in truth because God in truth is the very essence of the one who denies it. God in truth is the basis of all kinds of knowledge, presuppositions, and proofs. God in truth is within the universe in which you exist, God in truth is without the universe in which you exist.
The Vedas confirm God is Atman (Spirit), the  Self.
People are being conditioned by the religious myth which has made them a non-thinker. People have to come out of the religious myth by realizing God in truth.

Rig Veda: ~ 'Prajnanam Brahma'- Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.

God in truth is the Atman, the Self. Atman is present in the form of consciousness.

Do not accept any other God other than Atman not worship other than Atman.

Let these words be inscribed in your subconscious.

Nothing is real but God. Nothing Matters but love for God in truth. God in truth is everywhere and in everything.

God in truth is hidden by the illusory universe. God in truth alone is and all else is an illusion.
Yajurveda – chapter- 32:~ God is Supreme Spirit has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. God cannot be seen directly by anyone. God pervades all beings and all directions. Thus, Idolatry does not find any support from the Vedas.
Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman the innermost self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)
Vedas itself says: May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman? Thus, to know the real God Self-realization is necessary. Self-realization is God-realization. Self-realization itself is real worship.
How can you worship God? That implies two ~ the worshipper and the worshiped, whereas God is non-dual. One can worship his idea of God only or realize his unity with it when he can’t worship it as a part.
When the Upanishads and Vedas say, “God is in the form of the Athma, and God is indeed Athma itself” then why accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman.
God in truth is the Supreme Being the One eternal homogeneous essence, indivisible consciousness, and intelligence, which is beyond form, time, and space. Which the Sages describe in a variety of ways through diverse words.
Bhagavad Gita: ~ All those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires, they worship many Gods. (7- Verse -20)
Only the path of wisdom leads the seeker of truth on his journey to the ultimate realization of the true nature of the Universal Essence, which is the Soul. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.
Bhagavad Gita: 7: 19:~ "Such a man who has attained true knowledge, the knowledge of Self, the knowledge of Atman, worships ‘Self’ as~ Atman (God) alone exists~ everything is Atman, there exists nothing except Atman. Such a man is extremely rare."
Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God in truth) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).
When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.
Lord Krishna Says Ch ~V: ~ Those who know the ‘Self’ in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. The God in truth is only Atman, the innermost Self. In reality, there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists.
Brihadaranyaka Upanishad IV-13:~ As a mass of salt has neither inside nor outside, but is entirely a mass of taste, thus indeed, has that Self neither inside nor outside but is altogether a mass of Knowledge. Just as a lump of salt has inside as well as outside one and the same saltish taste, not any other taste, so also that Brahman (consciousness) has inside as well as outside one and the same intelligence. Inside and outside are mental creations only. When the mind melts in silence, ideas of inside and outside vanish. The sages cognize one illimitable, homogeneous mass of consciousness only.
Thus,  it proves that all the attributed gods are imagination because their existence is limited to illusion because only in illusion, there is scope for imagination and diversity. Diversity is merely a dualistic illusion. The dualistic illusion is created out of a single substance, which is consciousness. Thus, consciousness alone is real and eternal.

Whatever is seen, known, believed, and experienced as real within the illusion is bound to be a falsehood.
Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God in truth) is in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.
People, who worship the belief of God, are hallucinating that they become one with such God.
And also Yajurved says:~

Translation 1.

They enter darkness, those who worship natural things (for example air, water, sun, moon, animals, fire, stone, etc).

They sink deeper into darkness those who worship sambhuti. (Sambhuti means created things, for example, table, chair, idol, etc.)- (Yajurved 40:9)

Translation 2.

"Deep into the shade of blinding gloom fall asambhuti's worshippers. They sink to darkness deeper yet who on sambhuti are intent."~(Yajurveda Samhita by Ralph T. H. Giffith pg 538)

Translation 3.

"They are enveloped in darkness, in other words, are steeped in ignorance and sunk in the greatest depths of misery who worship the uncreated, eternal prakrti -- the material cause of the world -- in place of the All-pervading God, But those who worship visible things born of the prakrti, such as the earth, trees, bodies (human and the like) in place of God are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time. (Yajur Veda 40:9.)

So, Yajur Veda indicates that:~

They sink deeper into darkness those who worship sambhuti. (Sambhuti means created things, for example, table, chair, idol, etc (Yajurved 40:9)

Those who worship visible things born of the prakrti, such as the earth, trees, and bodies (human and the like) in place of God are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time." (Yajur Veda 40:9.)

When the religion of the Veda knows no idols then why so many gods and goddesses with different forms and names are being propagated as Vedic gods. Why these conceptual gods are introduced when the Vedic concept of God is free from form and attributes.

It indicates clearly all the Puranic gods with form and name, and their worships and rituals were introduced by replacing in place of Vedic rituals and modifying books of the code of conduct.   The pure Vedic rituals have been replaced by the founders of present-day Hinduism, the reason best known to them. When the Vedic goal is Self-realization all this Puranic-based understanding and knowledge is the misguided direction to the seekers of truth.

Sage Gaudapada says that:~ The merciful Veda teaches karma and Upaasana to people of lower and middling intellect, while Jnana is taught to those of higher intellect. The karma based on the false self is not the qualification for Self-Realization.

Thus, it proves that the Advaitic wisdom is kept away from religious people who are of lower and middling intellect and made them indulge in karma and Upasana.  Thus, all religious prescriptions are not a means to Self-Realization.

Thus, conduct-oriented religions are not the means to Self-Realization because their theories are based on the false self.  Thus, the individual conduct and worships, and rituals are for the people of lower and middling intellect.  Therefore, religion is for the lower intellect. The wisdom is for those who are capable of inquiring into their own existence to know and realize the ultimate truth, which is consciousness.

Thus, by indulging in Non -Vedic rituals(Puranic Rituals) in place of  Vedic rituals  are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time." Thus, Puranic karmas are not Vedic karmas as per Yajur Veda.

The Puranic karmas are introduced to suit the mass mindset of that time, by the founders of present-day Hinduism by keeping the Vedas as their base. They also introduced a new modified belief system on Puranic GODS with a new code of conduct to revive the Vedic religion, which was in ruins in the hands of Buddhism and Jainism.  The present-day Hinduism with diverse beliefs is not pure Vedic religion.   Thus, this hotchpotch ideology is the greatest obstacle in the realization of the ultimate truth.  That is why Bhagavan Buddha rejected Vedas.

The religion  and religious gods are based on blind faith, and yoga are based on the false self and is nothing to do with the mental (inner) journey.

The religious, rituals, worship, prayers god, and guru glorification may be useful in worldly life, for those who believe in birth, life, death, and the world as reality, but they are not useful tools in realizing the ultimate truth. On the base of consciousness (Soul) as self, everything other than consciousness is merely an illusion.

Thus, man and his experience of the world and his belief in religious God and religion are part and parcel of the mirage created out of consciousness.

When Sage Sankara says the world is an illusion, it includes birth, life, and death, which happens within the world. Thus,  all the experiences within the universe, which appears as the mind is mere illusion.

The seeker's main aim is to mentally trace the cause of the illusion universe. The cause of the illusory universe is the Atman, and this Atman itself is Brahman.  This Brahman cannot be attained by indulging in egocentric religious orthodoxies. The knower of Brahman is Brahmin, not the Brahmin who indulges in priestcraft, which leads one to utter darkness as per Yajur Veda.

In Gita Lord Krishna lashes out against the Karmakhanda. It is not Bhagavan Buddha, and Mahavira, were first attacked the Vedas but Lord Krishna himself spoke against them before Buddha and Mahavira.

In Gita, 18.46 Lord Krishna says to Arjuna:~  'The Vedas are associated with three qualities of Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas. One must transcend these qualities. Full of desire, the practitioners of Vedic rituals long for paradise and keep thinking of pleasure and material prosperity.  They are born again and again and their minds are never fixed on Samadhi, these men cling to Vedic rituals.

In another passage Lord Krishna says: ~ Not by Vedas self  to be not realized, nor by sacrifices, nor by much study…..”

The Sruti itself says:~ "This Atma is NOT to be attained by a study of the Vedas. (Katha Upanishad I, 2, 23.)

The scriptures are for ignorant masses, who wholly accept the material world as it presents itself. Wisdom is for those who have begun to realize that things are not what they seem.

Each sect concocts a God to suit its own purposes.  Such concocted Gods have no value in pursuit of truth.  Man himself suggests that there must be a God. It is an auto-suggestion.

Prayers and sacrifices belong to a premature stage of development. However, when no answers come to prayers, the struggle for existence presses man, and doubt arises again.  Faith in religion weakens as man pays more attention to facts of life and this world.

Looking at the above facts one can conclude there is no need for religion, god and scriptures, and yoga in pursuit of truth.  Anyone who is in search of ultimate truth has to drop all the accumulated dross and start his pursuit of truth without this unwanted baggage.:~Santthosh Kumaar

People who stuck to the Advaitic or dulistic orthodoxy never will be able to cross the prison of duality.+

In the context of Advaita Vedanta: ~ Jagat (the world) is not different from Brahman; however, Brahman is different from Jagat

It has not been possible to preach Advaitic Truth entirely free from the settings of dualistic weakness it has not been more operative and useful to mankind at large because only a few will be able to grasp and realize it.

'To realize the Advaitic Truth a freer and fuller scope the seeker has to realize the form, time, and space are one in essence. And that essence is consciousness. And the soul, the innermost self is present in the form of consciousness.

To realize the Advaitic truth the seeker has to be free from all superstitions and orthodox contaminations. The seeker has  the inner urge to acquire  the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana   alone.'

A  Gnani will easily appreciate the high flights of Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom is one of the 'most majestic structures and valuable products of the Genius of man in his search for Truth.

In India, people think that religion as a stepping stone to higher truth but it is not so because religion is based on the false self (waking entity or ego) within the false experience (waking or world).

One must go beyond form, time, and space. The theistic tradition has been kept alive by orthodoxy. Orthodoxy is the path of ignorance because it is based on ignorance.  Orthodoxy is nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Thus, it is not the path of ultimate truth or Brahman. People who stuck to orthodoxy never will be able to cross the prison of duality. Without crossing the prison of duality self-awareness is an impossibility.  Thus, Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana is necessary to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Dalai Lama said: ~ Buddhism need not be the best religion though it is more scientific and religion and inquisitive. But Buddhism has no answer to certain questions like the existence of Atama (soul) and rebirth.   Dali lama said that as an individual he believes in rebirth as he had come across a few cases of rebirth.  Modern science, Dalai Lama hoped would unearth the mystery behind the rebirth. (In DH –dec-212009-Gulbarga).

Religion is nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. Religion is regarded as sacred and real by the common people, by the wise as false, and by the politicians as useful.

The seeker of truth must realize that religion is not Spirituality or Adyatma. Religion is based on blind belief or faith whereas Spirituality is based on the Spirit, the God in truth.

Sage Sankara says: ~ Atman is Brahman. The Atman alone is real is not religious truth. Sage Sankara declared this Advaitic truth, which is the ultimate truth to the whole world, many centuries back.

Advaitic truth is rational truth, scientific truth, and ultimate truth.

Thus, the Atman which is present in the form of consciousness is real and eternal, the world in which we exist is merely an illusion.

People do not want to work persevering for the truth beyond form, time, and space. They expect enlightenment instantly. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana cannot be acquired so easily. Most people lack the patience and perseverance in investigating the truth, beyond form, time, and space.

Religion is nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. If one is seeking the truth, then he has to be free from all religious beliefs and dogmas. Religion is based on the ego (you), whereas, the ultimate truth is based on the Soul, the Self.

Whatever is based on the ego is an illusion and whatever is based on the Soul is the ultimate reality or Brahman.

Religion has to be bifurcated from spirituality to realize the truth hidden by the illusory form, time, and space.

There is no use in condemning religion. But one has to highlight how they cause hindrance and becomes an obstacle in the pursuit of truth.

There is no need to rebel against religion but to realize that religion is based on the false self within the false experience whereas spirituality is based on the Soul, the Self.

Religion makes humanity remain in ignorance of the reality of its true existence with its beliefs, superstitions, and dogmas, the ideas of heaven, hell, sin, karma, and rebirth.

Heaven is the abode of physicalized Gods, where one goes after death, rebirth, and karma theories based on the birth entity, which is the false self within the illusory world.

When Vedas and Upanishads give clear-cut ideas of what God is supposed to be then all these Gods and Goddesses which people worship have no value from the ultimate standpoint.

Those ignorant who believe their experience of birth, life, death, and the world as a reality, think that the effect of action done in previous births, as the Prarabdha in this birth, but for the realized one the present birth, life, death and the world itself is an illusion because they have realized the fact that waking experience itself is an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.:~Santthosh Kumaar

Sage Sankara was criticized for his views on Maya (illusion) without understanding him.+

Sage Sankara: ~ VC~ All this universe which through ignorance appears as of diverse forms, is nothing else but Brahman (Consciousness) which is absolutely free from all the limitations of human thought.
When you finally realize the ‘‘Self’ ‘is not you but the ‘‘Self’’ is the Soul then you will realize the world in which you exist is merely an illusion created out of the Soul. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.
Sage Sankara says:~VC-47 All the effects of ignorance, root, and branch, is burnt down by the fire of knowledge, which arises from discrimination between these two—the Self and the non-Self.
Until you think you are an individual separate from the world and the world existed prior to you and you are born in it afterward the ignorance will prevail as a reality. Till ignorance is there the universe prevails as reality.
Till you realize the whole universe an illusion you will not be able to realize ‘Self’ hidden by the universe.
In fact, Sage Sankara states a paradox- the world is and is not. It is neither real nor unreal. It leads us to recognize the existence of Maya (illusion). He thinks that the world is illusory from one perspective and from the second it is nothing but Brahman(God), Itself in manifestation. This apparent world is Maya and has its basis in Brahman, the Eternal. It looks as real. It has names and forms and actually, it is not real In the light of true knowledge, it disappears and Self-alone shines as real. However, Sage Sankara's Mayavada has not been accepted by many preachers and philosophers.

When Sage  Sankara says clearly, that the universe is not real. He says that Brahman and Atman are one. The ultimate and the Absolute Truth is the Self, which is one though appearing as many in different individuals. The individual has no reality. Only the Soul, the innermost  Self is Real; the rest, mental and physical are but passing appearances, then it indicates the form (waking or duality or mind) is unreal and the formless soul (consciousness or soul) is real.  Therefore, only Atman is real because there is no second thing exists other than Atman, which is in the form of consciousness.

Remember:~:

Sage Sankara was criticized for his views on Maya (illusion) without understanding him. He said: ~

(1) Brahman (Atman) is real.

 (2) The universe is unreal.

(3) Brahman is the universe.

He did not stop at second because the third explains the other two. It signifies that the universe is real if perceived as the ‘Self’ and unreal if perceived as apart from the Self. Hence, Maya or illusion and reality are one and the same.

The realists criticize the concept of illusion without understanding it. He said: ~

(1) Consciousness (Atman) is real

(2) The universe or mind is unreal, and

(3) Consciousness is the mind or universe because the universe or mind is merely an illusion created out of consciousness.

One need not stop at second because the third explains the other two. It signifies that the universe is real if perceived as the Self (Atman or consciousness) and unreal if perceived as apart from the Self (consciousness). Hence, illusion and reality are one and the same because both are one in essence. Realizing the essence, which is consciousness as the innermost Self, is Self-Realization or Truth-Realization of GOD- Realization. Thus Sage Sankara‘s declaration is the rational truth, scientific truth, and also the ultimate truth.

The ultimate truth or Brahman (God) dwells within the three states like fragrance in the flower; Musk lies within the Musk-deer yet seeks it afar." Until one trace the truth within the three states the illusion of birth, life, death, and the world is experienced as reality.

The world is both real and unreal. It is real because it is a manifestation of consciousness, but is unreal, in the sense, that it is not absolute and eternal like consciousness itself.

People's approach is more practical, and they stuck with the reality of the world, they take it as real. That is why all the confusion.

That is why Sage Sankara says: ~ VC-63. Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the Self, how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman? — It would result merely in an effort of speech.

65. As a treasure hidden underground requires (for its extraction) competent instruction, excavation, the removal of stones and other such things lying above it, and (finally) grasping, but never comes out by being (merely) called out by name, so the transparent Truth of the self, which is hidden by Maya and its effects, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, followed by reflection, meditation and so forth, but not through perverted arguments.

All the penances are external because they are based on individuality. Investigating the mind, alone leads to self-realization. To know what is the mind, profits much rather than searching for the truth in the external world moving from one ashram to another and one guru to another, and one mountain to another. When one starts investigating the universe that confronts him will mentally move inwards and will reach the ultimate end and become fully aware “What is the truth?” and “What is untruth?” in his own home or city and establish in truth by realizing what is the untruth.:~Santthosh Kumaar

A Gnani will neither talk too volubly like shallow persons, nor keep complete silence.+

The Gnani will neither talk too volubly like shallow persons nor keep complete silence.  He will talk as much as is necessary, but no more.

Silence really means keep quiet in controversial discussions because one does not know what anyone has in his mind and without semantic analysis, it is all useless, so silence is better.
The words may give different meanings at a different level of understanding. As one moves deeper and deeper one realizes the thought, the thinker, words, and the world are one in essence. Thus, in the realm of truth, the thought and words become meaningless.
A Gnani has realized the truth beyond form, time and space do not give importance to the thoughts and the words. The thoughts and words have to value only in falsehood.

The Gnani is not a sanyasi or a guru or swami or Sadhu or monk.  Gnani does not belong to any ashrams."  Both Gnani and ignorant see the multiplicity, but Gnani does not take the differences which he sees as being real. That is the difference between them. The Gnani sees the unity behind the differences within the realm of form, time, and space by knowing the form, time and space are one in essence.  A true Gnani can never renounce anything. It is impossible. He has only renounced the idea of a separation of form, time, and space.
A Gnani never claims himself as a Gnani, he guides the seekers, not posing himself as a guru, and he does not force his wisdom on others.
Manduka Upanishads: ~    Even the Gods cannot find out who is a Gnani, because he bears no external mark. Neither nudity nor the religious robe has anything to do with him.

Sage Sankara clearly indicates in the  Viveka Chudamani (2) that the Knower of the Atman (A Gnani) "bears no outward mark of a holy man." (Stanza 539).

Sage Sankara page 482: On Gnani:~ "The knower of Brahman wears no signs. Gives up the insignia of a monk's life…his signs are not manifest, nor his behavior."

Sage Sankara is mentioned as the  Knower of the Atman or the knower of Brahman or Brahma Gnani.

When the knower of Brahman (Gnani) wears no signs it means he does not identify himself as Guru or yogi or teacher or Swami, because a Gnani sees the form, the time and space are one in essence. Thus,  there is unity in diversity in his realization. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Katha Upanishad :~ The Soul cannot be realized through hearing scholarly explanation of the discourses, not even by the intellect.+

Jesus said:~ "Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all." (Gospel of Thomas 2)

The Upanishads declare:~
Katha Upanishad 1:2:23:~  The Soul cannot be realized through hearing the scholarly explanation of the discourses, not even by the intellect.
Katha Upanishad 1:3:6:~ Through the knowledge of the Soul, God, one is pure and clean constantly.” Neither by reading the books nor by taking a bath at the holy place has one become pure. Inner purity is possible when one remains in constant touch with the Soul. Constant Soul-Consciousness is real purity.
Kena Upanishad 2:4:~ When it is known through every state of cognition, it is rightly known, for (by such knowledge) one attains life eternal. Through one's own self one gains power and through wisdom,  one gains immortality.
Self -inquiry prescribed by Sage Ramana Maharishi is a good tool at the beginning of the pursuit of truth. But the seeker will find it inadequate and useless in later stages. However, it creates lots of doubts and confusion.

The seeker has to find the answers on his own through deeper reasoning, then all his doubts and confusions will be cleared, and he will be able to move ahead in the path of inquiry, and he will be able to reach his non-dual destination.

Nothing is to be renounced in order to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman because the practical life within the practical world itself is falsehood from the ultimate standpoint.

Self-knowledge is the knowledge of the whole, not the part. Therefore the universe, which confronts one, has to be included in the inquiry to get the truth of the whole.  Thus,  the ‘WHO AM ’I’ inquiry is helpful in unfolding the half-truth. Thus WHO AM ‘I’?- inquiry is helpful in the first stage, but the seeker has to go much beyond ‘WHO AM ’I’ ?.  The seeker has to do his own homework to realize the truth of the whole.

The ’I’ is not Self and Self is not the 'I '.  The 'I ' is bound by form, time and space. Without the form, time, and space 'I' cease to exist. Holding 'I’ as Self one remains in the clutches of duality. When there is duality,  then there is ignorance.

Ignorance is the cause of experiencing the duality (illusion) as reality. The one who identifies the Self as 'I', will not be able to cross the threshold of duality. There is no point in saying the 'I ' this or 'I AM THAT' because the 'Self' is that which witnesses the 'I ' and the world together without the physical apparatus.

The earliest ancient sages used the word ‘I’ to the witness of the three states not to the ego as moderns use it and think the ‘I’ without the body is the self. The seeker has to understand the fact that ‘I’ is not the self, but the witness of the ‘I’ is the true self, which is eternal.

Jesus said:~  "Know what is in front of your face, and what is hidden from you will be disclosed to you. (THE GOSPEL OF THOMAS- Saying 5)

"The Kingdom of God is inside you and all around you, Not in a mansion of wood and stone.  Split a piece of wood and God is there, Lift a stone and you will find God." (Gospel of Thomas)

Remember:~

People speak of getting rid of conditioning or samskara but they are unaware of the fact that the universe in which they exist is a product of the inborn samskara or conditioning.  The ignorance is the cause of the inborn samskara or conditioning, which is present as ‘I’ or ‘I AM’.

The real Moksha or freedom is to realize the fact that ‘I’ consciousness is mere physical awareness. Physical awareness is not Self-awareness. The self –awareness is when the formless soul or consciousness remains aware of its own non-dual true nature.

The very purpose of analyzing the world confronts one is to realize the form, time and space are merely an illusion created out of the soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Thus to enable one to judge the ‘what is what’ from the highest viewpoint.

People fail to make this analysis, as with so many religious, yogic, and intellectual seekers fail to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman because their judgment is based on the waking entity (ego), which is the false self within the false experience.

One must be receptive and sharp enough to grasp the existence of formless witness which is ever apart from the three states.

The Soul is the formless substance and the witness of the three states. If the formless witness,  witnesses the waking experience and its attention are fixed on the waking experience then the waking experience is experienced as reality.

If the formless witness, witnesses the dream and its attention are fixed on the dream then the dream is experienced as reality.

If the attention of the Soul is on itself then it is called deep sleep in waking experience, which is the state of ignorance. If the soul consciously remains in its formless non-dual true nature in the midst of waking experience through wisdom it is called self-awareness.

The three states are an object to the formless Soul, which is the subject.  The three states are the state of ignorance. In all the three states the Soul, the Self is in ignorance of its own formless non-dual true nature.

This forgetfulness is the cause of ignorance. Ignorance is the cause of experiencing the three states as reality. The three states are the cause of experiencing individuality as reality.

Individuality is the cause of experiencing birth, life, death, and the world as reality.  The three states are one in essence. In the realm of truth, the three states are non-existent.  In Self-awareness, the three states are non-existent because they are one in essence.

Remember:~

People think that ‘Soul’ or ‘Spirit’ is something different from the mind. They believe that the mind is really two. This is the confusion among religionists and intellectuals. If ‘Soul’ has any meaning, if ‘spirit’ has any meaning, so long as one thinks of them, they are merely ideas. The Soul, the Self is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

If one ignores the world and confronts him, then he will not get wisdom. The whole world confronts him must be known; if he gives up the world, what and how can he understand the truth of it?  Weak minds cannot take a comprehensive view and so decry what they cannot understand.

As the ascetics and yogis, there is no need for getting the aversion to the practical world; on the contrary,  one should go on living in the world, acting, working, etc. that he should accept life as it presents.

There is no need to renounce the practical life to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

To realize the Self, which is consciousness is nothing to do with practical life because it is neither the waking entity nor the dream entity, but is the formless substance and the witness of all the three states.  And all the three states are one in essence.

Limiting the Self to the waking entity and waking experience is the cause of ignorance.  Ignorance makes one feel the waking entity is the real Self and the waking world as reality.

Until one holds the waking entity and the waking world as reality the truth- realization is an impossibility.

Remember:~

Preliminary inquiry reveals the fact that the Self is not the body,  then how can one get the truth on the base of the false self.

When the body is not the Self then it is erroneous to view, judge, and conclude the truth on the base of the body or waking entity is erroneous.   The truth has to be based on the Soul, the  Self, which is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

Thus,  whatever seen, known, believed and experienced as a person of the world within the waking experience is bound to be falsehood because the waking experience itself is a falsehood.

Thus, the seeker must become aware of the formless witness of the three states which comes and goes in succession.

The witness only witnesses the coming and going of the three states, it is nothing to do with individual experiences happening within the waking or dream.  When the Self is formless, timeless, and spaceless existence, then what is it that sees the waking, dream, and deep sleep state?

The dream is witnessed as a whole the dream entity is not the experience of the dream entity because the dream entity was within the dream world. Similarly, the waking experience is also witnessed as a whole and the waking entity is within the waking world,  thus it is necessary to realize the existence of the formless witness which is within the three states but it is apart from the three states.

It is within the three states as their formless substance and it is apart from the three states as their formless witness.

The formless substance and witness are one in essence. That essence is consciousness. Therefore, the three states are merely an illusion created out of consciousness.

Thus, the consciousness alone is real and all the diversities within the waking experience are as falsehood as of the dream.  The three states are the product of ignorance. Till the ignorance dominates they prevail as a  reality.  When ignorance vanishes through wisdom their unreal nature is exposed.:~Santthosh Kumaar
