Unconsciousness can only be consciousness without objects; otherwise it has no meaning.+

Man and his experience of the world are present only in the duality. The duality is present in the form of the mind. The Mind is present in the form of the universe and the universe appears as waking or dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (nonduality).

One cannot live without the physical world; it is the basis of his life.  The physical world is within the waking experience.   In the same way, the dream world and the dream entity exist within the dream.

The dream entity and the dream world are a reality within the dream. Similarly, the waking entity and the waking world are a reality within the waking experience.

The dream becomes unreal when the waking takes place, and the waking remains as a reality until ignorance is there. Ignorance will prevail until the waking entity remains unaware of the existence of the formless witness.

The seeker has to trace the invisible witness of the three states, to realize, that the Self is neither the waking entity nor the Self is the dream entity, but the Self is that which witnesses appearing and disappearance of the three states.

So,  it is the starting point of his spiritual quest. Proof, not imagination, must be the seekers’ material.

Unconsciousness can only be consciousness without objects; otherwise, it has no meaning. Therefore,  it is really and somehow consciousness.

Through the study of the mind, one gradually becomes aware of the unconscious, which is at the back of it all, is the Soul.

One has yet to learn that he cannot look into the mind of another, nor into that of animals. Hence those scientists who describe how ants think, for instance, are merely drawing inferences, not ascertaining proven facts.

That which one knows best in the waking experience, that which is nearest to him that of which he can never be free, its existence is supremely certain, is his consciousness.

One may doubt anything else, but he directly perceives his-self. Hence, one has to begin the study of the truth with the study of consciousness, not, as is mistakenly done by theologians, and metaphysicians, with the supposed Absolute.

All gold ornaments are made of this same single material, so to explain the nature of the unknown soul; one has to start with something known and familiar, viz. the consciousness, which he has in the three states, and proceed step by step from that onwards.

This Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.  The Soul, the Self is the ultimate reality. The universe is nearly an illusion created out of consciousness.   that should enable one to realize all contents of the illusory universe is also consciousness.

Everyone has and knows this consciousness; therefore, it is a universal datum. It is something that everybody can grasp.

The mind and its substance, and the mind as the whole are two different things that have to be investigated.

The mind does not depend on the mere size of the physical brain. The elephant has the largest animal brain, yet it is no more intelligent than the man, who has a much smaller brain.

If, as some think, the interaction of material brain atoms produces the mind as a byproduct, the reply for this is that one cannot know this unless someone had seen it happen. However, nobody has yet seen it. This theory is based on mere speculation.

One knows the mind is limited to, physical activity, but the truth is the whole physical existence, which is full of action or inaction is the mind.

If one limits the mind to his physical entity, he will never be able to move toward ultimate understanding.  The mind appears as waking and dream.

Man and his world are within the waking or dream.  Thus, the mind is the whole physical existence.  Thus, one has to consider the mind as the whole physical existence.

By considering the mind as a physical existence, waking and dream also are considered as the mind.

Remember:~

What is the mind? and What it does and what it is capable of doing? No one knows it in itself.

Philosophers and intellectuals who regard the mind as only power or as an activity do not really say what it is when appearing to define it, even though they use a million words.

Their study is correct, up to a certain level, but they have not gone very deep in verifying the facts.

One may think of the mind as he likes, but he gets only a thought, i.e. he gets words, more words. He does not get the mind itself.

Philosophers go on spinning yarns about the mind but have never seen it. Their words are only imaginations.  How can one see the mind when philosophers and their experience of the world exist within the mind?

When the mind disappears, they and their experience of the world also disappear.  Therefore, deeper self-search is required to analyze the mind.  Then only it is possible to move forward in pursuit of truth.

Punditry is not the philosophy. Much of what they say may be true, but true only as thoughts, but they have to inquire what a thought is, and then they have to go beyond it.

What about the witness, which witnesses all these three states, which comes and goes.  No philosopher has even been able to define the meaning of the 'mind' and 'consciousness'.

One does not know the dimensions of the mind. All the forms of time, and space are within the mind, only, not outside of it.  One as an individual can imagine anything within the mind.

The terms "Superconsciousness" "Overmind" etc. belong to irrational mysticism. No one can measure awareness which is consciousness and say where it stops, therefore the mind is called limitless; hence to talk of something beyond it is sheer imagination. One has to appeal only to the facts, not imagination.

People who talk of brain-consciousness are talking emptily. One does not know what it is, nor what “brainless consciousness” is. One is aware of only consciousness. Science does not know the true relation between consciousness and the brain if any.

One knows only 'mental states. Only three final mental states that is, waking, dream, and deep sleep~ which come and go.:~Santthosh Kumaar

A Gnani bears no external mark of Guru or holy man . Neither nudity nor the religious robe has anything to do with him.+

A Gnani never claims himself as Gnani, he guides the seekers not posing himself as a guru, and he does not force his wisdom on others.

Sage Sankara says: ~ “Though I wear these robes of a Sanyasin, it is only for the sake of bread."

Thus, it proves that Sage Sankara meant, taking sanyasa and wearing religious robes to earn bread. Sanyasa is not a qualification to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Thus, all those who wear religious robes are not seeking the truth. Sanyasa is a religious fable.    Sanyasa has nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman. Those who are seeking truth should never search for the guru because the guru belongs to the religious and yogic path.

Sage Sankara clearly indicates in Viveka Chudamani (2) that the Knower of the Atman (A Gnani) "bears no outward mark of a holy man." (Stanza 539).

A Gnani wears no signs which means he does not identify himself as a Guru or teacher or swami.

Sage Sankara: ~ On Gnani: "The knower of Brahman wears no signs. Gives up the insignia of a monk's life…his signs are not manifest, nor his behavior." (page 482 )

When the knower of Brahman (Gnani) wears no signs, it means he does not identify himself as Guru or Yogi or teacher or Swami.

People’s observation is based on the dualistic (matter or body or ego) perspective, whereas Gnani's judgment is based on the nondualistic (Soul or Spirit or Consciousness) perspective.

People can only lecture for giving out falsehood, but it is a waste of time to deliver a public lecture giving out the truth.   It the illusions that appeal to the taste of the audience because they are ignorant about the world in which they exist is merely an illusion, from the standpoint of the soul, the innermost self.

Gnani does not want to think of the ego, therefore he does not do or say anything to make himself appear superior to others or to pretend to know more than others.  If a person spends his time in Samadhi, he is not a Gnani but he is only a yogi.

The Gnani is as alert and awake to what is happening to him externally as all other people: he is not a yogi in Samadhi. A yogi does not know the ultimate truth or Brahman because he believes his Samadhi as Brahman.

A Gnani has realized the world in which he exists is merely an illusion created out of consciousness.  And consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

For a crowd at a venue will contain men of varying capacities to understand, of whom only one or two might be receptive to receive Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.  People who provoke and try to argue from their own standpoint are unfit to receive Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Gnani mixing with the company of people from all walks of life, behaving as they did, not claiming to be different from them.  He occasionally drops some words and gives some suggestions which creates curiosity to know the reality beyond form, time, and space. Thus he will instill hope into seeker's hearts that is really possible to acquire self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

A  Gnani will neither talk too volubly like shallow persons nor observe complete silence like some yogis and gurus. He will talk as much as is necessary but no more. Thus, he follows the inner (mental)   path, the formless path.

If one wants to interview a Gnani then he must be ripe enough to understand what a Gnani is pointing at.    A Gnani will be withholding the truth because he is aware of the fact that, the unready people will not understand what he is saying.

The path of wisdom is not the path of argument. The argument is possible only from the standpoint of the ego, which is the false self within the false experience. Many think that all their accumulated knowledge as wisdom.  Such accumulated knowledge is intellectual knowledge based on imagination.  Imagination is not the truth.

That is why Bhagavad Gita says: ~ "Don't unsettle the minds of the ignorant by revealing the esoteric truth."

A Gnani may travel provided he is actively engaged therein helping the serious seekers.

For the benefit of those who think from the lower standpoint of the world of duality, the Gnani tells them to follow their chosen path and when they are convinced that their chosen paths are inadequate and useless in quenching their inner thirst they only take the path of wisdom or reason.

The Gnani is not a sanyasi or guru or swami or Sadhu or monk.  He does not belong to any ashrams."  Both Gnani and the ignorant see the multiplicity, but Gnani does not take the differences he sees as being real. That is the difference between them. The Gnani see the unity behind the differences within the realm of form, time, and space by knowing that form, time, and space are one in essence.  A true Gnani can never renounce anything. It is impossible. He has only renounced the idea of a separation of form, time, and space.

A Gnani chooses no religion,   dress, thing, speech, actions, vocation, or posture to show off that he is a Gnani, and that he is different from others. That would indicate distinctness or separateness.  A Gnani is fully aware of the fact that the experience of form, time, and space are one in essence.

This realization in its fullness brings absolute harmony between thought and action and makes the Gnani.

A Gnani desires to share Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana with humanity before he disappears from this illusory world and thus keeps it alive in the illusory world.  He alone can be a true Gnani who is soulcentric.

Gnanis have ignored the opinions of whole peoples in their independent search for truth and questioned all beliefs, all scriptures, and all authorities until they could be proven to be true.

Even the arguments that religions have been followed since time immemorial make no difference to them because if people have believed a false thing over thousands of years, the length of time does not prove it true.

The ultimate truth does not belong to the religion because the religion and its belief in religious God and its scriptures are a reality within the scope of form, time, and space whereas the ultimate truth is hidden by ignorance.

A Gnani who knows reality interprets everything according to its light. It is not enough to write books to bring people to the realization of nonduality or Advaita, perfect understanding, assimilation, and realization are also necessary.

The Gnani accepts the sameness in pleasure and pain because he is fully aware of the fact that pleasure, pain, and the world are made of the same stuff and that stuff is consciousness.

Without consciousness, there is no pleasure, pain, and the world.  Gnani’s position is that if enjoyment comes, he accepts it; if it does not, he keeps quiet. Even when he is taking pleasures, however, he is not deluded by them, and he regards them as a game he is playing for he knows their unreality: he does not take them seriously.

Clouds do not affect the sky, although they appear to; so the pleasure and pain do not change the Gnani because he is fully aware of the fact that, the pleasure and pain belong to the world. And the world is merely an illusion from the standpoint of the soul, the innermost self.    From the standpoint of the soul, the innermost self the illusion is merely a passing show.

Remember:~

A Gnani does not try to eliminate thoughts, but he accepts or knows them as the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.  He knows that the mind (universe) and soul (self) are one in essence. And that essence is consciousness.

The Gnani uses sense objects because he sees they are as consciousness. He is fully aware of the fact that practical life within the practical world is merely an idea created out of consciousness.  He is fully aware of the fact that it would be foolish to observe celibacy within the illusory world in which he exists.

Manduka Upanishads: ~  It is very difficult to find out who is a Gnani because he bears no external mark. Neither nudity nor the religious robe has anything to do with him.

A Gnani cannot have the idea of giving up or renouncing the world or some object or person in the world, because that would connote the idea of duality. Knowing no second thing at all there remains nothing to be given up.

The Gnani will follow whatever occupation he wishes according to circumstances. There are no prohibitions for him. He may be a peasant or a billionaire.

Gnanis does not perform miracles to attract attention to the Soul, which is the ultimate truth.  If one performed Miracles in a dream the dream becomes unreal when waking takes placeSimilarly, the waking becomes unreal when wisdom dawns. Wisdom dawns when the waking entity (you) realizes it is not the Self but the Self is the formless Soul, which witnesses the coming and going of the three states. The witness of the three states and the three states are one in essence.  That essence is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Even whilst in the midst of the experience of objects, the Gnani have the awareness of the Soul, the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

In Self-awareness, there is no separation of form, time, and space from the other because the form, time, and space are one in essence.

A person who realizes the ultimate truth or Brahman will throw off his religious robe and his religious identity and become Avadhuta and live as he wishes.:~Santthosh Kumaar

Inner longing to know the truth, sharpness to grasp and courage to accept the truth leads one to Self-awareness.+

As we keep digging deeper and deeper, the truth will shine as pure awareness in the midst of the duality (waking).

The Soul, the Self is our ultimate teacher. It is only our inner teacher who will walk with us to the goal, for the soul is the goal. Millions are searching for truth but one in a million will realize it.

Deliberate daily exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real renunciation.

Truth is One; It is called by different names. All people are seeking the same Truth..... Everyone is going toward the ultimate goal. They will all realize the ultimate truth or Brahman if they have sincerity and longing to realize it.

Bhagavan Buddha:~It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.

Inner longing to know the truth, sharpness to grasp, and courage to accept the truth leads one to Advaitic Self-awareness.

People have immersed themselves in ignorance and experience the illusion or Mayaas a reality, and they do not exert themselves to know the reality of the true existence.

By clinging to things unreal they think of their experience of birth, life, death, and the world as reality.

By quoting the scriptures and sacrificing to the gods, performing rituals, and worshiping the deities, there is no freedom without the realization of one’s identity with the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness.

There is no hope of immortality through riches.  Action or inaction cannot be the cause of freedom because inaction also is action and action and inaction are part of the duality.

People think by using lesser words or by keeping silent the truth emerges on its own, but they keep hoping and remain in the prison of duality.

The seeker of truth has to strive his best for freedom from experiencing the illusion as a reality and fix his attention on the formless substance and witness of the three states.

The formless substance and witness are one in essence. That essence is consciousness. Consciousness alone is real and eternal,  and it is the source of the mind, which rises as the universe and subsides back as consciousness.

Remember:~

A person who declares himself as self-realized is not Self-realized, because, he is unaware of the fact that he is not the Self but the Self is the Soul.

A person who realizes the ultimate truth or Brahman will never declare he is self-realized. If a person says he is Self-realized he is still ignorant.

If you think you are Self-realized, but you still say "I," and if you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, you are not a Gnani. You are simply ignorant of your accumulated dualistic intellectual knowledge accumulated from here and there.

Upanishad says ~ "He who thinks he knows, does not know." This means that to know anything implies a second, an object of knowledge, hence duality, i.e. no Gnana.

Ashtavakra Samhita: ~ "The man of knowledge (Gnani), though living like an ordinary man, is contrary to him, and only those like him understand his state.

A person who realizes the ultimate truth or Brahman will throw off his religious robe and all religious identity and live like a commoner. He never identifies himself as Gnani nor does he identify himself as superior to others. He only shares his knowledge with fellow seekers.

A Gnani never identifies himself as a Guru or a Yogi or someone disciple. The one who accepts himself as a Guru or someone’s disciple is not a Gnani.

There is no liberation for a person of mere bookish -knowledge, howsoever well-read in the philosophy of Vedanta, so long as one does not give up the false identification with the body, sense organs, etc., which are unreal.

Even friends and family members of a Gnani will not know him as the Gnani. Due to ignorance, people will not be able to recognize a Gnani. Outwardly the Gnani behaves as an ordinary person behaves.

A Gnani talks and jokes like others, but he is not understood as he really is. People may regard him as an exceptional person, but only a few can recognize him as a Gnani.

Sage Sankara himself said: ~ A Gnani "bears no outward mark of a holy man" (Stanza 539).

Thus, it proves that the intellectual pundits who declare themselves they are self-realized, the religious Gurus and yogis are not Gnanis because they identified themselves as holy people.
: ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Only by getting rid of ignorance one can get rid of the inborn samskara or conditioning.+

Self–awareness is not physical awareness. Physical awareness is present as the waking or dream experience. And physical awareness disappears as deep sleep, which is also a state of ignorance.

Self-awareness or Brahmic awareness arises when wisdom dawns.  Wisdom dawns when the Soul, the Self becomes aware of itself in the midst of the form, time, and space (duality or waking) by realizing the form, time, and space are one in essence.

Self-realization is the direct realization of the ultimate truth or real god, in contrast with traditional paths, which are indirect.

The other paths cannot lead to the ultimate destination because they are based on the false self, which they hold as the real Self, and false experience as reality.

The Self is unborn. The Self cannot be named. The one, who is born, lives, and dies has a name.

The Self is beyond form, time, and space.  When the Self is formless, timeless, and spaceless it is erroneous to inquire “WHO AM ‘I’?  because the self is not he or she because it is genderless because it is formless.

The Self has nothing to do with you because you are the false self (ego or waking entity) within the false experience (waking).  Thus, the Self has nothing to do with your birth, life, death, and the world because the self is ever birthless and deathless. After all, it is formless.

The Self is not you but the Self is the formless soul, which witnesses you and the world together.

Realizing all three states are created out of single stuff and that single stuff is consciousness (soul) is freedom or Moksha.

Until and unless one overcomes physical shackles it is impossible to understand and assimilate the nondual truth, which is beyond the physical existence or the universe.  Consciousness itself is lord of itself though not of the universe. And having nothing it has all.

Gaudapada quotes from the Upanishads: "There's no plurality here"; "The Lord (Atman) through his powers appears to be many"; "those who are attached to the creation or production or origination go to utter darkness"; "the unborn is never reborn, for who can produce him(Atman)?”

It is only those who base ‘I’ or ‘I AM’ as the Self, argue and quarrel amongst themselves.

People who are fully aware that form, time, and space are merely an illusion created out of consciousness have no reason to quarrel, because for them everything is consciousness, and no second thing exists other than consciousness.

People try to overcome their inherited religious conditioning, but by getting rid of the religious conditioning one will not be able to overcome the physical shackle.  One has to get rid of the inborn samskara or conditioning itself by realizing the fact that ‘I’ or ‘I AM’   is not the Self.

Only by getting rid of the ignorance one can get rid of the inborn samskara or conditioning.

v  What is the use of arguing on the base of the birth entity, which is not the Self?

v  What is the use of knowing what happens after death when the Self is birthless?

v  What is the use of thinking of heaven and hell when the Self is not an individual,  and it is never born and never dies?

But as a person, one is unaware that he and his experience of the world are within the waking experience, which is the dualistic illusion or Maya.

The waking experience appears and disappears, in the same way as the dream. When there is the dream then there is no waking.

When there is waking then there is no dream.  When there is neither the dream nor the waking it is identified as deep sleep in the waking experience.

One is aware of the dream or deep sleep only in waking.  The one which is aware of the coming and going of the three states is neither the waking entity nor the dream entity but the Soul, the Self, which is the formless witness of the three states. :~Santthosh Kumaar

The objective world is not a creation of the mind because the objective world itself is mind.+

The ‘I’ is present in the form of the mind. The mind is present in the form of the universe. The universe is present in the form of form, time, and space.  Without form, time, and space, there is no duality. The duality is not reality from the standpoint of the soul, the innermost self.

The mind is present in the form of form, time, and space. Thus whatever belongs to form, time and space is falsehood. Thus the universe in which we exist as reality is a falsehood.   Thus there is a need to know ‘what is what’ to realize the truth beyond the form, time, and space.

The ‘I’ disappears as deep sleep, so what is the use of being attached to it? It is impermanent and illusory because ‘I’ is physical awareness. Physical awareness is not self-awareness. ‘I-less awareness is self-awareness.

There is really no ‘I’. The ‘I’ is present in the form of mind. And the mind is in the form of the universe. And the universe appears as a waking or dream. The ‘I’ or mind or universe or waking or dream disappears as deep sleep.

Thus one that appears as ‘I’ or mind or universe or waking or dream is consciousness, and it disappears as deep sleep is also consciousness.  In deep sleep, it is in its formless nondual true nature.  The one, which witnesses the coming and going of the three states, is also conscious.   Thus the witness and witnessed are one in essence.

Thus the universe is a reality on the base of individuality and the universe is unreal on the base of the Soul, the Self. The seeker gradually will grasp and realize the unreal nature of the universe or mind. Individuality is illusory because the self is not an individual. After all, the Self is formless, and it pervades in everything and everywhere in all the three states.

The objective world is not a creation of the mind because the objective world itself is the mind. Thus without knowing ‘What is mind? ‘What is the substance of the mind and ‘What is the source of the mind?  it is difficult to understand and assimilate Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

The seeker has to know: whether the physical body and the world are within the mind or the mind is within the physical body? The mind, physical body, ego, and the world are present only when the whole experience of the waking is present. And the mind is absent when the waking experience is absent.

Thus, one has to conclude the mind as the whole waking experience. Thus the mind appears as a waking experience (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (nonduality).  All your arguments are the truth only on the base of the ego, which is the false self, within the false experience (waking). The individual experiences within the waking are as real as a dream.

Suppose the same subject, we are discussing in the dream and one asks me the same questions in the dream, then whatever he said in the dream becomes unreal when the waking takes place. Whatever one says now, he is saying within the waking experience. The waking is unreal on the base of the formless witness, which is the Atman. Atman is in the form of consciousness.

How does one see various objects, scenes, and persons during dreams? If the dream is experienced without the physical body, then what is it that experiences the dream? Therefore, there must be a formless witness (knower) of the dream world. This formless witness is the same witness that is witnessed this Waking experience also. Therefore, the Waking experience and dream both are witnessed by one and only formless witness of which the seeker is not aware. Since he considers the physical body (I) as the Self or witness and views and judges the world-view from the standpoint of the false self, within the false experience. The formless witness can exist with or without waking or dream. But the waking or the dream ceases to exist, without the Soul, the witness.

The gross waking experience is merged into the mental experience in the sense that, when it is analyzed, it is found to exist inseparably in and as the mind alone. All "spiritual" planes are really mental: those who regard them as different or higher are deceiving themselves. The dream becomes unreal when the waking takes place; similarly, the waking becomes unreal when the wisdom dawns. Therefore, everything has to be grasped mentally, not argued from the intellectual point of view, which is limited to the false physical entity within the false experience.

The unreal is created out of the real, and when one views and judges on the standpoint unreal (ego) then there is duality. When one is able to view and judge from the standpoint of the Soul, the Self then there is only non-duality. Therefore, when the wisdom dawns then there is neither duality nor nonduality, only reality.

All these confusions will go on until the man thinks, he is an individual and apart from the world, and the world existed prior to him and he is born in it afterward. Therefore, it is necessary to know the fact the true Self is not the ego, but the true self is the Soul, and stop viewing and judging the world-view from the standpoint of the physical self (ego), one has to view and judge on the true self (soul) to realize the fact that, the world along with the man is an illusion. The formless substance from which the illusion is created is Atman.

Thus Atman is Brahman (ultimate reality). Thus no second thing exists from the standpoint of Atman or consciousness as self. Thus there is neither experience nor the experiencer in non-dual reality but only Self-awareness.:~Santthosh Kumaar

The path of love should not be mixed with path of wisdom.+

The religious path and the yogic path are nothing to do with ultimate truth or Brahman. The scriptures are nothing to do with ultimate truth or Brahman. Gurus, swamis, and yogis are nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman.

The experience of birth, life, death, and the world is nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman.  Individual God is nothing to do with ultimate truth or Brahman.

Karma or Action is nothing to with the ultimate truth of Brahman. Creation and creator theory is nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman, because, the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the formless, timeless spaceless existence.

Brahman means the ultimate truth. The one who has realized the ultimate truth is Brahma Gnani. Advaitic or nondualistic Truth is the rational, scientific, and ultimate truth.

Remember:~

Most of the Saints and the Sages of the past are mostly social reformers, thus they are more concerned about humanism rather than the truth. Their contribution is very valuable to living in the practical world.  Thus humanism is part and parcel of the universe, which is merely an illusion.

People think love is the means to Self-realization, but they are unaware that love and hate are made of the same stuff. Love is not a means of Self –realization. Love is very much necessary in practical life within the practical world. Love implies duality.  Whatever belongs to the duality is a falsehood. Thus love is a reality within the falsehood.

Lover and love cease to exist in non-dualistic reality because the experience of duality is not a  reality.  The experience of the practical life within the practical world is a  reality within the waking experience, but the waking experience itself is merely an illusion created out of consciousness. Thus lover and love are one in essence. Thus,  the path of love is the religious path because religion is the path of individuality or duality.

Love, Lust, anger, and greed are part of the duality. From the ultimate standpoint, the duality is merely an illusion. If the duality is merely an illusion then the form, time, and space are merely an illusion.

If form, time, and space are merely an illusion then the universe is merely an illusion. If the universe is merely an illusion, then the three states are merely an illusion. If the three states are merely an illusion then the experience of birth, life, death, and the world is merely an illusion.

If birth, life, death, and the world are merely an illusion then the individualized god, heaven, hell, sin, and karma are part of the illusion.   Therefore,  it is necessary to realize ‘what is the illusion’ and ‘what is the reality,’ in order to get freedom from falsehood(three states).

Love implies duality. Without a lover, there is no love. Wherever there is duality there is ignorance.  Wherever there is ignorance,  the illusion is experienced as a reality.   Thus, the lover and love are part of the illusion.

In reality, love,  lover, and the world are one in essence. That essence is consciousness.  The consciousness or soul is the innermost self.  The innermost self is the ultimate truth.  the ultimate truth is Brahman or God.  Call it Self, God, Christ, Brahman, inner Buddha or Emptiness or Nothingness or Spirit or Love it is all the same.

When one becomes aware of the ultimate truth then he sees that the Self or God (consciousness)  pervades everything everywhere in all the three states.  Thus, it is necessary to realize the innermost self or God is the lover and love together.

Thus, our conditioned love conditioned by physicality will not be able to recognize the unconditional love to  Soul, the Self.

The love within the physical existence (practical world) is very valuable in practical life.  Great master Paramahansa Yogananda and many other religious Sages in the past prescribed unconditional love to humanity.  And unconditional love is a very valuable tool for humanity which is immersed in practical life and the practical world.  We have to respect every Sage for their service contribution to humankind.

The path of love & path of humanity, are limited to the practical life within the practical world. Path of love and path of humanity is the best tool to serve humankind within the practical life within the practical world but the practical life within the practical world is merely an illusion or Maya. thus, love belongs to the illusion. in reality, the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness alone exists.

Gnani loves humanity in the practical world but inwardly he is fully aware of the truth that the practical life within the practical world is merely an illusion from the ultimate standpoint.

Thus, the path of love should not be mixed with the path of wisdom because the path of love is based on duality and the path of wisdom is based on non-duality.

Humanism is limited to practical life within the practical world.    The path of love is the path for humanity therefore, it is an individualized path. Thus, the path of love is limited to the physical structure, it cannot transport one to the ultimate end. Therefore seeker has to understand the fact that, from the ultimate standpoint: practical life and the practical world are part of the dualistic illusion. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Christ- consciousness is Self-awareness.+

Trev light Bown:~ This was posted as a comment to a post by Leonard Jacobson saying that Christ- consciousness and God-consciousness are not the same Formless nonduality.

Dear Trev,

I respect the views and wisdom of Leonard Jacobson

As per my conviction:~

Firstly God is not physical. God means the ultimate truth or Brahman. Brahman is God.  There is only one consciousness because consciousness is second to none.   No conceptual God can exist, apart from the Spirit (consciousness) because the spirit itself is God.

People are not aware of the fact that there is no individual God can exist, apart from consciousness, which is in the form of the Soul, the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness is consciousness.

If there is no consciousness (soul), then there is no-body, no ego, no universe, no religion, and no conceptual God.

People think that there must be a creator of this universe. If one thinks the waking entity (you or ego) as the Self, then there is a creator, but if one thinks of the Soul( consciousness)  as the Self, then there is nothing exists other than the Soul( consciousness), which is the innermost  Self.

If one objectifies and sees a universe, then he is bound to see many things besides himself and postulate a God, the creator. The Body, belief in God and the world rise and set together from, and into, the Soul, the Self. If God is apart from the Soul (spirit or consciousness), then He would be selfless, that is, outside existence, that is, non-existent.

The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the root element of the universe. From consciousness,  the universe comes into existence. In consciousness,  the universe resides. And into consciousness, the universe is dissolved.   Consciousness is the parent of all that is there is.

Consciousness is the only reality, and the universe too but an illusory manifestation. Advaita does not prove that there is ONE! It proves that there is no second thing.

Theological thinkers say God is a perfect being, but they have never known God, never proved his existence; hence their ascription of perfection to Him is purely self-imagined.

If one has to test the truth in the next world only, then there is no proof of the existence of the next world, other than it is mentioned in the doctrines. The doctrine oriented truth is not ultimate truth or Brahman.

The scriptures are being added from time to time. This process will go on. There is the final authority among them? One contradicts the other: duality reigns supreme.

Suppose one sees God in his vision, or he speaks to God. How is he to know that He is God? His mere statement is not enough. He must have proof; He must show that what he sees He is God.  Every religion has a different idea of God.

It is impossible to prove the existence of God by any reasoning; one can only say "I believe. Belief is not the truth. “The most rational position is that:  "I do not know."  Every religion has its own idea of the god, paradise, heaven, sin, and karma.  But where people have got a little thinking capacity, they begin to disbelieve through the contradictions of various contending orthodox claims and descriptions.

Unless one gives up the ideas of the idea of god, heaven, and hell, it is an impossible assimilate Nondualistic or Advaitic truth. Truth must be proved here and now, in this world, in this very life. Not in the next world and the next life.  The idea, as the existence of personal God heaven, hell and sin and karma are mere imagination based on the false self (waking entity) within the false experience (waking).  When waking experience itself is false then whatever one sees, knows, believe and experiences are bound to be a falsehood.

The seeker of truth has to pursue this quest until his questions will be answered until his problems will disappear, and his doubts will be solved.  Only through soul-centricity, the truth will be revealed.

Only in non-duality, where there are no two to argue about views or to have a difference of opinion can such doubtlessness be possible.  Belief depends on unstable bases whereas certainty depends on the proof.

The Kingdom of God is inside you and all around you, Not in a mansion of wood and stone.  Split a piece of wood and God is there, Lift a stone, and you will find God." (Gospel of Thomas)

Jesus said:~ "Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all.(Gospel of Thomas 2)

Jesus said:~ Know what is in front of your face, and what is hidden from you will be disclosed to you. (THE GOSPEL OF THOMAS- Saying 5)

Gospel Thomas Logan 22:~  Jesus saw infants being suckled. He said to his disciples, “These infants being suckled are like those who enter the kingdom.”

They said to him, “Shall we then, as children, enter the kingdom?”

Jesus said to them:~ “When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the female is female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter the kingdom.”
  • It means –where there are no two (duality) there is Nonduality.  Nonduality is the nature of the Spirit or God.
The Consciousness has no such thing as upper or lower (part), it has no inside or outside, it has no middle or any ‘across’, and it has no eastern or western direction because it is all-pervading like space or pervades space also. It is one and without parts. It remains as oneself free from all diversities.

The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is formless and colorless; it is not tiny, nor big. It is neither short nor long. It is not knowable since it is of the nature of effulgence. It remains as oneself free from the dualities.

There is neither teacher nor teaching, neither student nor instruction, neither “Me” nor “you”, nor this universe. The knowledge of the real nature of the Soul or consciousness does not admit of different perceptions. It remains as the one auspicious self, free from all attributes.

The Soul or consciousness does not have the state of waking, nor of the dream, nor of deep sleep. These three states are only products of ignorance. Consciousness is beyond these three states and it remains as oneself free from all states.

The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness is all-pervading, is the desired goal, is self-existent, and is not dependent on anything else, while the entire universe which is different from it is unreal. Consciousness remains as oneself free from all divisions.

The Soul or consciousness is one; how can there be a second difference from it? It has neither absoluteness nor non-absoluteness. It is neither void nor non-void since it is devoid of duality.  It cannot be described that which is the formless essence of all three states.

The eternal truth within the universe (mind) and it is without the universe (mind). Direct knowledge of the Self can be acquired by realizing the Self.

Self- realization is the essence of human existence. Where there is unity, one without a second; there is a world of nondual reality.

The nondual truth is the ultimate truth. And the ultimate truth itself is Brahman or God in truth.:~Santthosh Kumaar
