Truth is one and the path is one.+

Truth is one and the path is one. The ultimate truth or Brahman dwells within the three states like fragrance in the flower; Musk lies within the Musk-deer yet seeks it afar."

Until one traces the truth within the three states the illusion of birth, life, death, and the world is experienced as reality.
Truth is one
Soul is one
Self is one
Brahman is one
God is one.
Truth, Soul, Self, Brahman, and God in truth are one and the Same.

Normally people will not understand what I am driving at because they are seeking something which they can enjoy.

People's ambition is to acquire wealth and enjoy practical life within the practical world. They are looking for an advantage in the world, to take care of their daily life.  Thus to get what they want in spiritual life they indulge in numerous paths of dogmas and rituals prescribed by the Gurudom expecting their daily life goes on comfortably.

The so-called gurus and yogis focus their ambition on acquiring wealth by making the mass more and more dogma oriented.  No one inquires why they are in this hell. This begging to god and guru goes on and on. If their wish is fulfilled they indulge more and more if the wish is not fulfilled they indulge again and again because of fear of getting cursed by god.   Thus in order to get rid of this path of begging one has to know the truth of his true existence.

That is why Swami Vivekananda:~ The masses in India cry to sixty million gods and still die like dogs. Where are these gods?

Knowing this, stand up and fight! Not one step back that is the idea. ... Fight it out, whatever comes. Let the stars move from the sphere! Let the whole world stand against us! Death means only a change of garment. What of it? Thus fight! You gain nothing by becoming cowards. ... Taking a step backward, you do not avoid any misfortune. You have cried to all the gods in the world. Has misery ceased? The masses in India cry to sixty million gods, and still die like dogs. Where are these gods? ... The gods come to help you when you have succeeded. So what is the use? Die game. ... This bending the knee to superstitions, this selling yourself to your own mind does not befit you, my soul. You are infinite, deathless, and birthless. Because you are an infinite spirit, it does not befit you to be a slave. ... Arise! Awake! Stand up and fight! Die if you must. There is none to help you. You are the entire world. Who can help you? - Swami Vivekananda  (Delivered In San Francisco, on May 28, 1900) -The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda/Volume 1/Lectures And Discourses/The Gita II

The knowledge of both matter (mind or universe) and spirit (Soul or consciousness) is True knowledge.

All the attributes are merely an illusion. It is the Self that is in illusion and it is the self that has to get free from the bondage of the illusion. The illusion is present in the form of the mind. The mind is in the form of the universe. The universe appears as a waking or dream and disappears as deep sleep.  The individual experiences of birth, life, death and the world are within the waking experience.  The dream is a parallel waking experience and waking is a parallel dream.

Deeper self-search reveals the fact that the Self is neither the waking entity nor the Self is the dream entity but the Self is the formless Soul, which witnesses the coming and going of the three states in succession.  This truth has to be mentally grasped and assimilated to realize the Soul, the Self is nothing to do with the three states. From the standpoint of the formless Soul, the Self, the three states are merely an illusion.

The practical life within the practical world, which is present as the waking experience, is merely an illusion.

If the waking experience is merely an illusion then the individual experience of birth, life, death, and the world are merely an illusion.

If the experience of birth, life, death, and the world is merely an illusion, it means the form; time, and space are merely an illusion.

If form, time, and space are mere illusion, it means the past, present, and future is mere illusion.

Thus it is necessary for the seeker to realize the fact that form, time, and space are one in essence, in order to realize the three states are one in essence. That essence is consciousness.

Thus, all the diversity is created out of consciousness. Thus no second thing exists other than consciousness.  Seeker of truth has to constantly reflect on the subject in order to get a firm conviction of the truth.

The seeker has to reflect on the same truth again and again until it becomes reality. One needs to constantly reflect on the subject until he gets a firm conviction of what is what.:~Santthosh Kumaar

Self -Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana cannot destroy the universe but it eliminates the ignorance and exposes the unreal nature of the mind or universe.+

Self- Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is only true knowledge, not the absence of duality.  Self -Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana cannot destroy the world but it eliminates ignorance and exposes the unreal nature of the mind or universe.

Sage Sankara
: - VC-63. Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the Self, how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman? — It would result merely in an effort of speech.

Sage Sankara:~ VC- 61. For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae), and medicines to such a one?

How does one get knowledge? What is meant for knowledge? What is true knowledge? –all this of which must be dealt with by the seeker of truth in order to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Self-knowledge does not destroy the world but it exposes the unreal nature of the world which appears as waking and is experienced as reality by the person within the waking.  In the same way, the unreality of the dream was exposed when waking took place.

People talk of liberation. They are only forming an idea. The idea is mere imagination; imagination is possible only in ignorance. People, who are so confused as to be unable mentally separate the formless witness from the three states, speak of gaining liberation. But all such ideas are only possible in waking experience, which come and go, the witness or Soul needs no liberation.

The destruction of the world and man within the world does not mean that they should become imperceptible to the senses but there should arise a determination of their unreal nature; for if that were not the case, people may find emancipation without any effort on their part as during dreamless sleep and fainting.

That consciousness remains as the sole real factor, means that there should be a realization of ultimate truth or Brahman as the sole unity and not a mere absence of the cognition of the world; otherwise, there would be no such thing as emancipation in this very life not in next world and next life

Emancipation can occur without yoga. What can be done by yoga can be done by Gnana. Yoga alone leads to Samadhi, but Gnana also liberates the Soul, the  Self from experiencing the illusion as reality.

Man and his experience of the universe appear together and disappear together.  The universe is present in the form of ‘I’. When ‘I’ is there the universe is there.  Without the ‘I’ there is no universe. The universe appears as a waking or dream and it disappears as deep sleep.

Thus the ‘I’ appears as a waking or dream and disappears and remains ‘I-less in deep sleep. ‘I-lessness is the nature of the soul, the innermost self. ‘I’ is the duality. And ‘I-lessness is non-duality.  Thus it is very much necessary to drop all the ‘I’ and ‘I am’ based teaching in order to acquire self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Man and his practical life and the practical world are a reality within the waking experience, but a waking experience is merely an object to the formless subject.

One cannot get away from waking experience. It has appeared on its own and disappears on its own.  Man is born, lives, and dies within the waking experience.  Therefore the seeker ought to know, understand and grasp its meaning. The yogi or mystic and orthodoxy who refuses to do so is refusing to face the whole of reality.

Those who say they have come into contact with God” merely imagine or assume.   They do not know the ultimate meaning of God. All the idea of God is created by men of the past there is no such religious propagated god that exists in the realm of reality.  The ultimate truth is God or Brahman or Christ or Buddha.

Deeper self-search requires the seeker to be sharp and active in order to examine the world and discriminate. The non-dualistic Nirvikalpa Samadhi means knowing that man, the universe and its contents are not different from consciousness, as the dream mountain is not different from consciousness, knowing which they automatically come to realize everything is consciousness. This is different from Yogic Nirvikalpa Samadhi, which is only deep sleep or thoughtlessness.

If a man gets Moksha after undergoing any discipline, his Moksha is only temporary: it will go again. Consciousness cannot be got because it is already there. The witness has never been in bondage because it is always apart from, untouched by the mind or universe waking or dream which is merely an object because consciousness is the formless subject.

Yogis and religionists regard ignorance as an integral part of the soul to be got rid of by their practices, whereas formless witness is ever pure, ever free from ignorance, being Knowledge itself, and that even all practices are within the realm of object or universe or waking, never formless witness.

The final realization is that consciousness is everything, the All; there is nothing but consciousness, whereas to say "God is in me" is mysticism.

Non-dualistic bliss is non-dual; there is no enjoyer present to enjoy it or to distinguish it from misery. The mystic revels only in 'bliss' that is experienced i.e. that comes and goes, but he is not non-dualist.

A man of truth never indulges in discussion and arguments with the people who talk of god and yoga and scriptures or atheist ideology and intellectuality since they all are based on the base of the waking entity or ego, which is the false self within the false experience. He just listens to them with all humility and respects their views and wisdom as fellow human beings.  That is how a man of truth behaves in the company of the people who think their accepted truth is the ultimate truth.
:~Santthosh Kumaar

Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many gods as you please, observe ceremonies, but liberation will never come, without realizing the Oneness.

Sage Sankara said:~ Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many gods as you please, observe ceremonies, and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.

When the Self is not the form,  then the question of whom does not arise.  A deeper self-search reveals the fact that the ‘I’ itself is an illusion.  If the ‘I’ is an illusion,  then it is no use of inquiring ‘Who Am I? . Till one holds the ‘I’ as the Self,  is caught up in the prison of duality.

Sage Sankara:~  VC-63- "Without knowing and examining the external world, one can’t know the Truth, as the idea that the external world exists, won't go. It can go only by an inquiry into the nature of the external world.

Deeper self-search reveals the fact that by Who Am I?- inquiry, wisdom will not dawn. Who Am I?  inquiry is only for beginners and it is inadequate and useless in the later stages.

That is why Sage Sankara:~  VC-61-For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae), and medicines to such a one?

VC- v6~ Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity With the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together.

Sage Sankara goes on to say:~ A sickness of not cured by saying the word “medicine.” You must take the medicine. Liberation does not come by merely saying the word “Brahman.” Brahman must be realized. Until you allow this apparent universe to dissolve from your consciousness until you have realized Brahman, how can you find liberation just by saying the word Brahman? The result is merely noise. Until a man has destroyed his enemies and taken possession of the splendor and wealth of the kingdom, he cannot become a king by simply saying “I am a king.”

A buried treasure is not uncovered by merely uttering the words: “Come forth.” You must follow the right directions, dig, remove the stones and earth from above it, and then make it your own. In the same way, the pure truth of the Atman, which is buried under Maya and the effects of Maya, can be reached by meditation, contemplation, and other spiritual disciplines but never by subtle arguments.

Avadhuta Gita:~ ~ The soul, the innermost self, devoid of life and lifelessness - shines forever. Devoid of seed and seedlessness - of liberation and bondage, it shines forever. Soul, the innermost self is the nectar of knowledge, homogeneous existence, like the sky. (3.31.34)

The soul, the innermost self, shines forever, devoid of birth - mundane existence and death. The Soul, the Self is the nectar of knowledge, homogeneous existence, like the sky.

Thou hast no name and form - even to the extent of an illusion, nor any substance - differentiated or undifferentiated. Why dost thou grieve, O Thou shameless mind?  The soul, the innermost self is the nectar of knowledge, homogeneous existence, like the sky.

Why weepest thou, friend? Thou hast no misery of birth. Why weepest thou, friend? There is no change for thee. The Soul, the Self is the nectar of knowledge, homogeneous existence, like the sky.

Isa Upanishads indicate that:`The time one spends in ritualistic practices is wasted; one can spend the same time moving forward towards Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana, which is the main goal.

Sage Sankara had tremendous intellectual power, throwing the scorching light of reason upon everything.

The effort is necessary up to the state of realization. Even then the Self should spontaneously become evident. Otherwise, happiness will not be complete. Up to that state of spontaneity there must be an effort in some form or another.

The ever-present Self needs no effort to be realized, Realization is already there. Illusion alone is to be removed. Some say the word from the mouth of the Master removes it instantaneously. Others say that meditation, etc., is necessary for the realization. But all that is religious fable propagated by orthodoxy.

People think yogic Samadhi is liberation.  They believe it because their guru has told them. When the innocent and the honest seekers blindly believe and follow the path of yoga in order to get liberation.  They propagate the same to others. They never suspect the Guru because it is irreligious to disbelieve the guru.

Neither the guru nor the disciple verified the validity of their belief if it is right. People who give lectures and write large books on religion, yoga, and theoretical philosophy are good in their subjects but what they know and master is Gnana or non-dual wisdom is the question.

Some claim that for many years they enjoyed mystic exaltation, trances, meditations, and peace but this state passes away when the waking passes away.  The waking experience itself is an illusion from the witness point of view.

Thus, the individual experience within the waking or dream is merely an illusion because the waking or dream is merely an object to the formless subject.

When one thinks as an individual he has experienced Non-duality then it is as good as the dream. Non-duality cannot be experienced as a person because it is prior to any experience.

The illuminations gained by yoga or by trance states are always temporary ones

Brihad. Upanishad~ Yoga does not yield truth or liberation."(page~32)

Brihad Upanishad~ points out that even yoga cannot give perfect concentration and that the only way to gain it is through philosophical realization. (page 133-1st para)

Manduka Upanishad: -~ that yoga can no more succeed than the ocean can be emptied with a blade of grass.

Sage  Sankara says:~Yoga is not the means of liberation. (P -132-133 of his commentary on Brihadaranyakopanishad).

Buddha gave up his austerities of yoga as impossible and useless. (Page.70/71 "Buddhism in Translation” by Warren) . Buddha got enlightenment only after he gave up Yoga. Unless one exercises his reason--there is no chance of getting the truth.

If one experiences Non-duality as a person then this proves he had attained a yogic condition, but not Gnana. It vanished when because it is impermanent because it was not the highest insight. The Gnani, however never loses his Gnana. Dislodging a Gnani from his insight is an impossibility.

Once one has thoroughly seen the truth he simply can't fall away from it. Many are enjoying a similar sort of mystic exaltation and peace, but whether it passes away soon or endures the whole of life, it is not Gnana, because it did not come through striving to investigate the nature of the world, which confronts them, it came only through meditation on the self; that is the yogic reward for such meditation but it is only one half.

The Gnani not only gets such inner peace but also truth because he has turned outwards also and grasped the truth about the matter, which is as much consciousness as his innermost self.

The Yogi and mystics dip into their selves but they do not understand that that is only one half of the truth and that this dipping is also a mental discipline to fit their minds to understand the true nature of the world confronts them, which understanding they must next get if they are to become Gnanis.:~Santthosh Kumaar

The nonduality is the nature of the Soul, the Self.+

The nonduality is the nature of the Soul, the Self. In ignorance, there is duality. In wisdom, there is only one hence nonduality.
The Soul, the Self is one without the second. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness (spirit). It is the same consciousness (Soul) that manifests as the whole universe. Consciousness itself is the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Consciousness is the ultimate cause of the universe and it itself is uncaused. The seeker of truth must convince himself of this truth by Soulcentric reasoning.

Remember:~

A Gnani never claims himself as a Gnani, he guides the seekers, not posing himself as a Guru, and he does not force his wisdom on others.

Advaita is not a theory or a philosophy. Advaita is the nature of the Soul the Self. There is no need for any Guru to acquire Self-knowledge. Only a perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ is needed.

Why should the seeker depend upon the Guru, the actual realization happens without the Guru. The Guru becomes botheration.

Bhagavan Buddha: ~ Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.

You need not become a Guru or a monk to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. You have not to renounce the world or leave anything ~ your wife, children, job, responsibilities. You do not have to renounce anything!

The only thing you have to realize is the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space by realizing the form, time and space are the product of ignorance.

When ignorance vanishes, the unreality of form, time, and space is exposed.

Upanishad says:~ "He who thinks he knows, does not know." This means that to know anything implies a second, an object of knowledge, hence duality, i.e. no Gnana.

Tripura Rahasya: ~ Second-hand knowledge of the Self-gathered from books or Gurus can never emancipate a man until its truth is rightly investigated and applied; only direct realization will do that. Realize yourself, turning the mind inward. (18: 89)

Remember:~

The Soul is the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. The nature of the Soul is nondual awareness. The nondual awareness is real and eternal. The nature of the mind is dualistic awareness. The mind is present in the form of the universe. The universe appears as a waking or dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (non-duality). The duality is physical awareness and the nonduality is Soul-awareness.

From the standpoint of the Soul, the innermost Self, the physical awareness (duality or the universe) is merely an illusion. The illusion is created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Thus, there is no difference between illusion and reality because both are one in essence. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

The individual exists within the illusory universe. The Soul is the cause of the illusory universe and it itself is uncaused.+

The Soul is not limited to an individual. The individuals are many but the Soul is one.
The individual exists within the illusory universe. The Soul is the cause of the illusory universe and it itself is uncaused.
The Soul is not within the human body but it is hidden by the illusory universe or Maya. The illusory universe is created out of single stuff. That single stuff is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
Thus, whatever the universe contains is bound to be the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
In the dream world, the dream people appeared together and disappeared together. Similarly, the waking world and waking people appeared together and disappeared together.
Thus, the dream is created out of single stuff and that stuff is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. In the same way, the waking experience also created out single stuff. And that single stuff is consciousness.
The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness is the cause of the three states and it itself is uncaused.
Many soul theories are religious and yogic fables based on the false self (ego) and false experience (waking).
Knowledge of the single stuff is the Self-knowledge or Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara.

Remember:~

You are not separate from the ego because you are the ego. Without the ego you and the world in which you exist cease to exist.
In the awareness of the ego, the world in which you exist is a reality.
In the awareness of the ego, your individual experience of the birth, life, death, and the world experienced as a reality.
In the awareness of the ego, form, time, and space prevail as a reality.
In the awareness of the ego, the dualistic illusion, or Maya prevails as reality.
In the awareness of the ego, the three states prevail as reality.
In the awareness of the ego, the ‘I’ prevails as a reality.
If ‘I’ prevails as reality then ignorance prevails as reality.
Self-knowledge or Advaitic wisdom is necessary to get rid of ignorance.
Without Self-awareness, the universe prevails as reality. Self-awareness means the conscious awareness of the Soul hidden by the ‘I’. In Self-awareness, the reality of the universe fades away.
Sage Sankara says liberation comes, but only through the realization that Atman and Brahman are one in no other way. (1) VivekaChudamani v 56, pg. 25. : ~Santthosh Kumaar

There is nothing more rational, more intelligible and more un-dogmatic insights of Sage Sankara, is to drop all the theistic Advaita.+

It is not you are forgetting the Soul, the Self. It is the Soul, the Self that forgets itself within the dualistic illusion.

Ignorance is the cause of the dualistic illusion. You and your world are within the dualistic illusion.

Thus, you and your individual experience of birth, life, death, and the world is nothing to do with the Soul, the Self. When ignorance vanishes, then the Soul, the Self, remains in its own awareness.

You, your body, your ego, and the world in which you exist are nothing but an illusion created out of consciousness.
When everything is consciousness then you, your body, your ego, and the world in which you exist are merely an illusion created out of consciousness.
Consciousness alone is real all else is merely an illusion created out of consciousness.
You are not you; your body is not the body, your ego is not the ego and the world in which you exist is not the world but everything is made out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The Soul is the Self.
Self-realization is necessary to realize the world in which you exist is merely an illusion created out of consciousness.

Remember:~

You are bound by birth, life and death, and the world. You are born within the world, which is merely an illusion.  You are living in an illusory world. You are born going to die within the illusory world. Whatever is born, lives, and dies within the illusory world is not the Soul, the Self.

The whole universe in which we exist is nothing but consciousness.  Consciousness alone is real and the universe in which we exist is merely an illusion.

Only in illusion, there is form,  time, and space. The form, time, and space within the illusory world is nothing to do with the Soul, the Self.

The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.  From the standpoint of the Soul, the  Self,  there is no scope form, time and space. The real nature of the Soul, the Self is non-duality.
All the years you have passed are within the illusory world. Billions of past and future years belong to the illusory world.  The things that happened billions of years ago, and the things that are to happen billions of years from now are happenings within the illusion.   The illusion is an illusion is nothing to do with the Soul, the Self.
The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Sex is nothing to do with Soul, the Self.+

Sex and the sexual act are not the means to Self-realization, because the Self is genderless and ever formless. Sex implies duality.  The tantric sex is a theory based on the false Self (you) within the false experience (waking).  When the world in which you exist is an illusion, thus having sex within the illusory world is bound to be an illusion.

Tantric sex is the physical-based theory. When the Self is not the body (you), then the Tantric sex theory based on the body has no value.   The Soul, the innermost Self is bodiless because it is ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.   The seeker of truth should not fall into the trap of such theories.  Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is nothing to do with tantric sex.

Sage Sankara's arrival on the scene was at a most critical juncture when both Buddhism and Vedism were fast disintegrating into various sects and cults. Buddha's original teachings were a reaction to the Vedic sacrificial extremities. But in the later century practices like magic and sexual mysticism crept into Buddhism. Vedic religion was not very different, having given way to superstitious ways, and a large number of rituals. It was Sage Sankara who tried to re-assess and integrate the sound teachings of Buddha in the Vedic following and was successful in the revival and reformation of Hindu thinking and way of life.
Remember:~
Gurus who propagate Samadhi through sexual intercourse are not Gnanis. Sexual intercourse is nothing to do with the Soul, which is ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.   Those who indulge in sexual activities in order to get enlightenment will permanently remain in the prison of the dualistic illusion.  They are unfit to acquire Self-knowledge.

Sex is nothing to do with the Soul, the innermost Self. Sex is important to the false self within the false experience.  Sex is restricted by religion and society to maintain peace, harmony, and moral fabric. Such restriction is necessary in practical life within the practical world.

The Soul, the Self is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence. The Soul, the  Self is neither a man nor a woman. Sex implies duality. Without duality, sexual activity is impossible because sex happens between two entities.

All such ideas, therefore, as a man or woman, are a delusion when spoken with regard to the Soul, the Self, and are only proper when spoken of the body (waking entity). So are the ideas of the age. The Soul is ageless because it is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

Ignorance is the cause of the bondage of form, time,  and space. It is through ignorance that the Self has become bound; wisdom will destroy ignorance. Self-knowledge or Brahma Giana or Atma Gnana is necessary to destroy ignorance.

The human goal is to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. In the past, the sages prescribed restrictions on sex because the seekers should not get immersed in sex and forget their quest for truth. There is no need to renounce worldly life and take sanyasa and practice celibacy. Many sages of truth were the householder and had a healthy sexual relationship and good family life.

Sex is an action. Action is ignorance. Action belongs to form, time and space.  Tantric sex is a theory based on the false self.

Sage Sankara:~  Action cannot destroy ignorance, for it is not in conflict with or opposed to ignorance. Knowledge does verily destroy ignorance as light destroys deep darkness.Atma Bodha

Remember:~

Sex is nothing to do with the Soul, the  Self.   Sex is a reality on a physical base. When the body is not the experiencer of the body itself, it is not correct to be judgemental on the ’I’ (physical base).

Until one becomes aware of the formless entity, which is witnessing the body and the world together, he will not be able to know and realize man and his experience of the world is an illusion. Therefore, it is necessary to become aware of the formless witness to know the experience of birth, life, death, and the world is merely an illusion.

If the experience of birth, life, death, and the world is an illusion, then sex also is part of that illusion. The seeker has to learn to view and judge the worldview on the base of the formless witness, which is the Soul, the Self, to understand and assimilate the truth beyond form, time, and space.

The sex-based theories of enlightenment are mere theories based on the false self (ego or the waking entity) and false experience (waking or universe). Sex is not the means for  Self-realization.:~Santthosh Kumaar
